A part of Chicago has arrived to Gilbert. Portillo's is a great place to have Chicago style Hot Dogs and Italian Beef sandwiches. Fries are terrific as well. Menu offerings are broad but not overwhelming. Can't help notice though, like other restaurants, portions are smaller than my past experience with Portillo's in Chicago.Recommendation: If you order the Italian Beef sandwich, order it "Wet" with sweet peppers. My first time at Portillos. I think I was expecting an experience similar to Ted's hot dogs in Tempe. First the inside was large and noisy due to high ceilings and concrete floors. So I opted for a table outside on the patio. I picked up my dog when the buzzer went off. I get back to my table look at the order snd realize it's not mine. I went back in and explained the problem. Great burgers and chocolate cake. The beef is good as well , just wish it was more consistent, sometimes the burgers are so salty you can’t eat it , next time they are the best burger aroundAlways busy but quickIf too busy , order to go from the app from a table and pick it up
