This place was our spot for Japanese food, mother inlaw from Japan and she loved this place, however the last few months Service has been terrible! I mean so terrible! Avoid the Las Vegas roll here, they put some green sauce on it, and trust me it's not it!
First time we went for dinner and was served by Megumi. She was very nice and efficient (and Japanese, of course). Food is solid. Drinks are cold. Sushi pretty good. My only suggestion is for the owner to include a section of ‘grilled’ menu items, as it is inferred in the restaurants name: Akai Hana Sushi and Grill! The only grilled item was the hamachi Kama. I like the food. It is a great value for lunch. The server complains a lot and is just not very good but we go anyway. On our last visit, my drink came in a glass with old lipstick on the rim. YUCK!They have a beautiful patio that has been closed for years. I have no idea why, other than the door handle is broken. I really hope they get it together. It's in a beautiful spot and the price is good.Kid-friendliness: I see lots of families here. The have highchairs.
