This vegetable egg foo yung was fantastic, all the vegetables were so varied in texture and density yet were each cooked to perfection, not soggy or rewarmed, but freshly sauteed with a light sauce, not gluey or oppressive, the egg foo yung patty was thick and generous (and there were 2). The rice comes in a separate little bowl which is esthetically pleasing, the service was quiet and prompt, the atmosphere was pleasingly dim, and the music was tasteful Asian easy listening, not overbearing or thumping. Just a fantastic pleasurable lunch with some of the freshest restaurant food I've ever eaten.“

“I got the orange chicken with plain fried rice about a week ago and it was very good! The chicken was good texture and solid flavor. I’m very picky on my Chinese so this place was very solid compared to others I have been to. The sauce with the orange chicken was very flavorful and just the right amount of sauce. And the portions were appropriate for the price! One dinner was enough for me to have 2 meals. Usually Chinese doesn’t reheat well either for leftovers but I threw the chicken with the sauce and rice in a frying a pan with a little sesame oil on medium heat for a few minutes and it was very good as leftovers the next day! I will be coming back!“

“Failed to mention anywhere on the menu of peanuts in a TOP SIRLOIN steak dish. Brought my significant other for her 21st birthday only to spend the night in the hospital. After leaving the establishment, my party was forced to cover myself and her’s tab of dishes we weren’t able to enjoy due to their negligence as we had to sprint out of the restaurant. It was a memorable night, but for the worse. On what should’ve been a celebration, Red’s/Wigwam turned it into a nightmare. If they were careless from a foundational standpoint to glaze over something as common and as critical in food safety as a peanut allergy (on a dish that wouldn’t been remotely associated with the food group) I cannot imagine what other basic common sense and customer service areas they are lacking on. I wish I had more of a well rounded experience to reflect on, but as abrupt as the experience shifted it’s hard to really say much with what limited time we actually got to spend in the establishment, but from a back half perspective it was definitely far from ideal. Only consolation was that they packed the food (which put her in the hospital) to go for the remainder of the party.

I will say, our waitress Shannon was a sweetheart and this wasn’t her fault, it should be listed on the menu considering the context

UPDATE:
After a call back a couple days later, my experience changed. We were contacted by Isabel, the restaurant manager and she gave us a sincere apology which included a complementary stay at the resort and dinner as well as an update to the menu to protect future allergy sensitive patrons (which is most important) As much one can complain about an experience we had initially higher management resolved the issue to the best of they’re ability and for that I now have a different perspective of the wigwam/Red Allen’s.“
