“What a pleasant surprise. I am so sick of the same old fast food so I went to this place and it was amazing. The Owner is on hand. The food smells amazing. Ordered 4 pulled pork sandwiches. We also ordered the ribs and the tacos, the potato salad, and the loaded cheese quesadillas. Plenty of room in here to sit down and eat stop by and enjoy the best fresh food I’ve tasted in South Phoenix. Super friendly staff. It’s the same place where the car wash is located on 19th Ave. and Broadway. I gave this place a five star review. A 10 out of a 10.“

“Failed to mention anywhere on the menu of peanuts in a TOP SIRLOIN steak dish. Brought my significant other for her 21st birthday only to spend the night in the hospital. After leaving the establishment, my party was forced to cover myself and her’s tab of dishes we weren’t able to enjoy due to their negligence as we had to sprint out of the restaurant. It was a memorable night, but for the worse. On what should’ve been a celebration, Red’s/Wigwam turned it into a nightmare. If they were careless from a foundational standpoint to glaze over something as common and as critical in food safety as a peanut allergy (on a dish that wouldn’t been remotely associated with the food group) I cannot imagine what other basic common sense and customer service areas they are lacking on. I wish I had more of a well rounded experience to reflect on, but as abrupt as the experience shifted it’s hard to really say much with what limited time we actually got to spend in the establishment, but from a back half perspective it was definitely far from ideal. Only consolation was that they packed the food (which put her in the hospital) to go for the remainder of the party.

I will say, our waitress Shannon was a sweetheart and this wasn’t her fault, it should be listed on the menu considering the context

UPDATE:
After a call back a couple days later, my experience changed. We were contacted by Isabel, the restaurant manager and she gave us a sincere apology which included a complementary stay at the resort and dinner as well as an update to the menu to protect future allergy sensitive patrons (which is most important) As much one can complain about an experience we had initially higher management resolved the issue to the best of they’re ability and for that I now have a different perspective of the wigwam/Red Allen’s.“

“I had the Lover Girl matcha (strawberry matcha) and I asked for oat milk and it was TO DIE FOR. I don’t even like matcha but I tried my girlfriends who got the same thing and I had to get it. 10/10. Ordered the egg rolls and mozzarella sticks, also 10/10“

“Very pleased with the wait time and was pleased with the service. Bre was very pleasant and friendly and advised me on a drink that’s now the drink of my choice I will get . While waiting for my drink I saw the interaction of the employees with customers and all were very professional and courteous. I will definitely come back to this store!“
