“Bartender was very friendly and provided great recommendations and conversation. It was November so definitely off season for the hotel but plenty of a games on tv. Food was mid, what you would expect from a hotel bar. Overall it was a good experience and well above average for a “hotel bar”“

“We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing and they even treated us to a champagne toast and delicious dessert. Our waiter was excellent and provided us with recommendations that we absolutely loved. Definitely recommend.“

“Our party of four had their lunch specials for $15 each. I loved my bento box with salmon teriyaki, spicy tuna roll, edamame, salad and miso soup. (It also came with rice which I didn't eat.) The spicy tuna roll was really exceptional but all the food was good. There's a decent variety of what you can choose to put in your bento box. Service was attentive. Place was crowded when we got there at 11:30 but we got seats right away. The only difficulty was finding parking. We had to walk pretty far in the 115° weather!“

We’ve been in twice to celebrate birthdays (both my sons eat here at least 2-4 times a month) and even though they don’t take reservations on Saturday nights, they are always willing and helpful to accommodate our 9-12 person party. Every staff member that I have encountered has been 5 star.“

“Absolutely blown away by Cocina Chiwas—this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold, authentic, beautifully executed Mexican cuisine with Sonoran and Chihuahuan roots. From the moment we walked in, the service was flawless—attentive, warm, and perfectly paced.

Every dish was a standout. The oysters were fresh and briny, the burrata was creamy perfection, and the Caesar salad—wow. I’ve never seen one so massive or so flavorful, with the perfect crunch and just the right kick. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the carnitas tacos were rich and deeply satisfying, and the chile relleno had that ideal balance of spice, smoke, and softness. And then there was the chicken mole—an absolute knockout. Deep, complex, and unforgettable.

Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully balanced. We couldn’t stop talking about the food all night. Cocina Chiwas nails it—top-tier flavors, stunning presentation, and heart in every bite. Can’t wait to come back!“
