Iron Door Reviews
Great food - unexpected at 9000 ft!! Great prices. Great seating, especially outside with full view of ski area across road. Well worth the drive up!! We will continue to go there whenever we visit Tucson. From Northern IL so don't mind chilly weather.
If you're up this way, do yourself a favor and stop in here for lunch! The soup (we got the creamy elote) is comforting, hearty and scratched a soup itch we didn't know we had. The pie is next level too (strawberry rhubarb will always have my heart).
Ontop of all of this deliciousness, our waitress Jeniffer was so freaking warm and friendly. She was stellar with my allergy, as was the cook. I appreciate places that make an effort. The Jay's ciabatta sandwhich was scrumptious...read full review
This is where you want to eat lunch - 100%. The food is absolutely fantastic, made from scratch, very well prepared. Way more peaceful than the chaotic Summerhaven stretch. Stop here, sit on the patio, get a nice meal, enjoy the view. Excellent service. Very cool history.

Iron Door is a restaurant known for its great chili and BBQ sandwiches. The service is efficient, even when there's a line, and the atmosphere is described as lovely and unmatched. The menu offers an amazing selection at a lower price point compared to Sawmill Run. While the menu is not very large or complex, everything is done really well, with standout items like the chili, turkey Reuben, French dip, and BBQ chicken sandwich. The food can sometimes take a while to arrive and may not always be served hot. The restaurant gives off a cozy, cabin-like vibe, similar to a traditional homemade bed and breakfast meal. One reviewer praised the tender meat of the French dip and the delicious blueberry peach pie, while others mentioned that the chili and BBQ chicken sandwich could be a bit salty and needed more seasoning. Overall, many guests enjoyed their meals and found the food to be tasty and well-prepared.
