Great Food, I frequent La Canasta weekly for lunch.
I can not eat shredded beef tacos anywhere else but here because no other restaurant comes close. I could eat these tacos every freaking day! Do yourself a favor and try the shredded beef tacos, you will not be sorry

Based on the reviews, The Original La Canasta Burrito Shoppe is a ghetto little place with great food. The food is amazing and tastes fresh every time. The place keeps it simple and makes their food with love. The burritos are a good size. The chicken flautas combo tastes the most like home Mexican food. The green tamale was reheated and dried out, and the rice was a little over cooked. The horchata is the best, and the owners daughter makes a strawberry lemonade that is perfection. The portions are big and the price is fair. The customer service is great, but one time there was a very awkward argument in the kitchen. The owner is an awesome, friendly dude. This is a rarity where everything is so good.
