Just hope you don’t get Crystal. We accidentally ordered to go and ended up wanting to sit at the bar to enjoy a beer with our meal. You would have thought we urinated in her Cheerios, she was just flat out rude. She couldn’t say thank you, how are you doing, may I get you anything else, or please come again. The other servers were happy and pleasant to hear and deal with. Crystal, you’re a bar tender working for tips, here’s a tip, get a job in a basement if that’s how you are going to treat paying customers. Put on a smile, grit though the annoying customers, and do your best.

Moody servers here. I ordered takeout and went to a server to get a seat. Server told me with attitude to sit elsewhere after she already sat me down when she realized that I already ordered at the register. Very confrontational. How hard it is to let someone sit in your restaurant that ordered there a different way? A customer is a customer. Then they forget the drink when picking up the order and assume the wrong flavor when filling it.

Special shoutout to our bartender Carmen. You warmly welcomed us into the restaurant. You made excellent recommendations when you saw we were overwhelmed with all the delicious options. We enjoyed our layover breakfast and look forward to returning!

Food was quite good. We had the Waffle and Salami Scramble. Service was real bad though. Several tables of the same orders came out before us. Never got refills, so it's really not table service. Prices weren't too bad.

For an airport restaurant it was terrific. I had the oatmeal with a side of bacon. Service was great, thank you Merrilee. My colleague had the pancakes - they were delicious and enormous. If you're passing through the Phoenix Airport and have time for breakfast, I strongly suggest you stop in.

Had time to kill before my next flight so I got breakfast. Found Matt's through reviews and here was my experience. Line was long but got sat quickly. Tried to order through the QR code but it didn't accept my card info so a waitress helped out. Opted for Matt's Big Breakfast and let me tell you that sucker was huge! A good portion of eggs, potatoes and sausage plus the pancakes were hefty. Keeping them on my list next time I fly through Phoenix and have time.

My husband & I just had one of the best breakfasts of our lives at Matt’s - no kidding! The flavor of the over easy eggs, pork patties, peppered thick-sliced bacon, & seasoned skillet potatoes were not only tasty but cooked to perfection! The highlight that you MUST ORDER though are the HEAVENLY LIGHT & BUTTERY PANCAKES or WAFFLES! Somehow , I will find a way to duplicate that recipe! Matt’s has our business from now on!

I love Matt‘s big breakfast. This one’s conveniently located in the Bee gates of sky Harbor airport. A local favorite in Phoenix. You have to try the bacon.

I'm not a complainer but today's breakfast was flavorless. The hash browns were like rubber, couldn't cut with a fork and no taste. The toast came with 1/4 c of butter slathered on, way too much. The huevos rancheros were flavorless, blah.Service and coffee were great. So maybe a bad day in the kitchen. Very disappointed.

FYI the bar should ALWAYS be open seating. Been that way at every place since 1902. Don't be California. The tables are a line and you wait for them. The breakfast is the best in the airport and the service is great.

I had a 2 hour layover so I thought this place would be great to have lunch and a drink. Boy was I wrong! There was a short line, so I had no problem waiting. A couple in the front of the line told me the hostess said anyone that wanted to sit at the bar could sit themselves, so I went ahead and sat down. I waited about 15 minutes before the bar tender made eye contact with me. Then I continued to wait another 15-20 minutes. Then the bar tender yanked up a menu as he walked towards me and said, these people just think they own my bar and can sit wherever they please and thru the menu down in front of me. I was so embarrassed. I apologized and told him that the hostess said to sit anywhere at the bar. He continued to talk to me like I did something wrong. I asked him, if he didn’t want to serve me, should I leave. He told me it was my choice. At this point I was in tears and everyone was looking at me. As I walked out, every person asked if I was okay and apologized for what they just witnessed. To top it off, the bartender was telling the person next to me, that he had just started this job two days ago and hated it. The costumer was shocked. If the owner/manager cares to know who this bartender was, I was in on Saturday 2/24/24 at 1:30
