This was our first time at this location and it was a huge letdown from the Peacock of years gone by. I realize things change, but this was not an enjoyable experience. The windows, floor, tables were fairly dirty and sticky. The vegetable fried rice was skimpy on the vegetables and barely average in taste. The vermicelli bowl was ok but bland. None of the usual sauces on the table. They no longer have the wonderful Vietnamese coffee on the menu. The prices were high for what was served. There is potential here for the Peacock to be as good as they used to be, but currently missing the mark.

I ordered the special pho and summer rolls. The portions are fair and the place is clean. The problem is had was with the pho broth which is supposed to be rich and deep with flavors. The broth was very very bland, no depth of flavor no star of anise just blah.

Very good food, cooked in a reasonable timeframe, friendly staff, beautiful and clean building. Loved the art. Food was delicious and the curry I got was spicy which I loved. Very good, will come back sometime.

I have to give the place straight 3 stars. I was the only one in the restaurant and it took almost 20 minutes to bring out a bowl of Pho. I know my Pho very well… the noodles were cooked too long in the broth and became sticky and mushy together. Overall the flavors were still good and I’ve had better bowls at the same location. I know if it had just not been cooked as long it would have been better … but hey… it happens
