“Was it worth the half hour drive? YES!!! What a treat from the white linen table cloths; quiet atmosphere; friendly service to the DELICIOUS food. The first Italian food that didn’t give me heart burn. We ordered an appetizer not on the menu and not only did they accommodate but Chef Ricki came out to personally discuss how we wanted it prepared. You know a confident chef when he comes out to check with his patrons on their satisfaction. Lovely servers with knowledge of the dishes. The pasta is light allowing a perfect blend of tastes whatever the topping and you don’t feel so full from too much pasta. I love that. I didn’t need to take unfinished food home though the portions are generous. Can’t wait to go back.”

“Cute little spot. They have all the basic offerings. You order at the window and can stay there, they have picnic bench/table and swing set or take it to go. Quick spot right off the hwy. I got a pumpkin spice chai latte, americano, and black coffee, they were all great. Everyone enjoyed.”

“Mama Joe's is a great, family style restaurant in the cool pines of Strawberry, AZ. Amazing Italian dishes, and Joe usually has creative specials offered. And, the pizzas are the best in the area! And the tiramisu, perfect desert after a great meal!🙂”

“Popped in for some fudge to bring home. We grabbed Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Caramel Pecan, and Heath Toffee (vanilla base.) So delicious, the toffee was my fave!! Staff was friendly. Would definitely stop by again when in town.”

The serivce is wonderful even with the slightly younger employees they are very polite and helpful last time I was there I was served by a very polite young lady Alissa I think was her name. Everyone is friendly and they work very efficiently together. The lady tending bar had a great upbeat personality even though she was so busy and she was great at multitasking. Great job! “Cool little spot on the left side as your driving into Pine. Wood fired pizza next door in the main restaurant, whisky, wine, and beer in the tap room. Small area, only seats about 15 people in the tap room. People have been great, service suffers because it gets so packed. Otherwise, great spot to grab a brew and a bite on your way into Pine or Strawberry.

Parking: Large parking area right off the 87, plenty of parking, even for large rigs with trailers.

Kid-friendliness: Great outdoor area for kids. Ample outdoor seating makes it pretty kid friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot is gravel, might be troublesome to wheel to pavement.”
