“Been a few weeks, but I wanted to send a shout out to Hector and his crew at Taqueria Guadalajara. I had been looking for someone who could come out to our house and cook authentic street tacos for my wife’s Birthday. Hector got us a quote and we were able to take a drive out to their location in Phoenix and sample the goods. My wife and I left that day ecstatic with my finding them. Hector brought out a sample of the tacos with all of the trimmings and it was AMAZING... We drove home and we’re so excited for the night they would show up. Got a text from them the night of saying there had been an accident and they were going to be running a little late, which was fine as guests were still arriving. Setup was smooth and quick once they did arrive which was about 30 minutes after the scheduled time. I’m kicking myself because I didn’t think to get a few shots of the setup, but picture a table masterfully setup with the well fried beans and Mexican rice, as well as all of the additional sides one could hope for (onions, cilantro, pickled hot carrots, two types of salsa green and red, roasted jalapeños, radishes, lemons and limes, green cabbage, tortilla chips, Guacamole, cooked onions with jalapeños and the smells of the Carne and chicken on the grill). They also brought a big batch of Lemonade, although we wanted Horchata, but that was on me as the order had listed Lemonade, and I missed it. From the time they showed up to the time everything was ready to serve was about a half hour or so, food was amazing, and the gentleman who did the cooking was extremely professional and cognizant of making sure the prep and safety was top priority. We were so looking forward to this being a hit with our guests and Hector and his team went above and beyond to make it just that. We could not have been happier with the cost, service and professionalism. We even had leftovers for days which they helped get bagged and put in containers for us. The only thing I would recommend is making sure you have the necessary supplies to package up all of the leftovers and making sure you have room in the fridge to store it all. I did manage to capture a few shots of the amazing food, just sorry I didn’t think to capture the setup and prep as it was spot on. We will definitely be calling on Hector and his crew the next time we are in the market for authentic street tacos, and I would highly recommend his services for your next event.
