“We love this local gem. Our German Gem! Great food and well prepared. In the 8 or so times we have eaten here, it's always like the first time.

Very consistent on food quality and taste. That's probably because the menu is simple and not overwhelming at all.

The beer selections are excellent and always changing with the seasons. They import hard-to-find German selections and sell others as well. Plenty of seating at the bar and throughout. There's even a game room in the back where you can show off your shuffleboard skills, or lack thereof. PROST!“

“We have had lunch a few times before here but this last Saturday was exceptionally good. Our bartender/server was Ronni. And, let me say, she is a gem. So fun and engaging. She was the only one on staff for the bar so she was also taking care of people seated elsewhere at the tables. She was attentive with everyone. My husband has pretzel bites w/ cheese and chippers. I had, without a doubt, the best salad Ive ever had at a bar and grill. It wasn't the boring romaine or iceberg lettuce which one usually sees. It was crisp, fresh, and included arugula, spinach, and other greens. It was such a wonderful surprise. Thank you, Ronni for the great food, service, and laughs. You made our day. ?“

“We, a group of women over 70 yrs old, are not CK’s usual patrons. Honestly, we chose CK’s because they were open on Monday and could put us off in a quiet corner. CK’s is a bar, with bar food and drink, and is normally probably very loud, especially when they have live music, and TVs are blaring.
We usually do a little more upscale dining and weren’t expecting much. Wrong! Our terrific waiter brought marvelous martinis with the olive in a side container, so the martini didn’t get too dirty. What a nice touch. Three of us ordered shrimp baskets. Oddly, served on a tray, which we liked better than squished in a basket.
The fries - best I’ve had in years. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. We kept exclaiming how great the fries were. The fried shrimp were also delicious. Another lady had chicken wings and said they were as good as she remembered from when she and her husband were regulars.
When we were all done, there wasn’t a crumb on any plate, and everyone was happy with their meal. Believe me, that’s an accomplishment.
Our server was great. He dealt with our questions and requests with humor and patience. He continually checked on us, bringing napkins, more olives, another knife.
The atmosphere low score is because it’s a neighborhood bar, a little run- down, homey, comfortable. It has been well-loved. Just the way a popular sports bar should be.“
