“There was a time where the food was not that good. It seemed the cook didnt put much effort. Now the food is delicious. Hot. Flavorful. The loaded potato soup is creamy, not too cheesy nor salty. The chips are crispy. Strawberry lemonade cold and sweet. Fries are crispy from the outside and soft and hot from the inside. I got the 3 for me. Old timers cheesburger. 10.99. “We used to come here for fishing gear and tackle back in the day. Now we hit it on the way back into town from the Lake but the parking is small so we park across the street in the dirt lot. Now it has turned into a cool bar and restaurant. They also support our first responders which is refreshing to see. Food is good and the local people are great!“

“As a huge Chicago Bears fan, The Moon Saloon was the ultimate spot to catch a game! Filled with Bears memorabilia and packed with Chicago Faithful!
The nachos with chicken were delicious, and I had the Italian Beef with hot giardiniera peppers and fries, which was amazing. Our drinks were mixed perfectly, and everything was top-notch.
A special shoutout to Courtney, our waitress—she was fantastic with her great personality and awesome service! She even joked that she deserves a raise, and I couldn't agree more!

“I love this restaurant. The food is so good. Sometimes we come here just for this restaurant and not even to gamble. They know how to fry really good here - fried chicken, fried fish, French fries, onion rings. Fried food is hit or miss but they’ve nailed it here. I get the fish and chips every time. My grandma has gotten the chicken tacos and the seafood pasta bowl, those are fantastic. My only complaint is the water here tastes very heavily chlorinated, it tastes like straight chemicals. I try to get lemonade but I can still taste the pool water through the lemon and sugar of the lemonade, and through the soda. The water issue is so bad that I actually will bring in my own water next time. We usually end up with the same waitress, I’m sorry I don’t remember her name, she is always kind. This place is clean, food is great, lots of tvs for sports fanatics but we aren’t even big sports fans. We literally come here for the food. Thanks.“

“Chill bar atmosphere. Good location and friendly staff and fellow customers. They have pool tables and tvs. Drinks are reasonably priced and with reasonable pours. I give this five stars because, if i were in the area (I don’t live nearby), it is probably at the top of my list.Not super crowded, but I assume it gets busier during nighttime / weekends.

Parking: Open parking lot. Plenty if parking spaces.

Kid-friendliness: It’s a “dive bar”, so great for adults, but maybe not for kids, unless you’re teaching your kid to play pool.“

“Attended on a Saturday evening for college football and dualing pianos. Less echoing since the remodel was done. Food is consistently good. New specialty drink menu needs work, way to sweet and inconsistent mixing based on who makes them. Pianists we're ok, definitely not great but still fun entertainment.“
