“5 stars across the board. Check my review history, I don’t sugar coat anything . I believe in telling my honest opinion always. My taste buds were in absolute heaven. I had the fried chicken, seasoned fries, brussel sprouts, mac n cheese and strawberry shortbread. EVERYTHING was fabulous, seasoned to perfection and mouth watering. The chicken was crispy and had me smacking and licking my lips. The brussel sprouts were cooked just right…not mushy or too firm. They were not over seasoned and were fresh. OMG, the mac and cheese. It was buttery with a long cheesy pull. Make you want to slap somebody’s hand if they touch your fork. The seasoned fries good too. You will enjoy them if potatoes are something you really like. I will always rate mac n cheese and my green veggies higher since I love them more. Last but not least, The strawberry shortbread was on point and satisfied my sweet tooth. There was a light fluffy mouse with strawberry and shortbread cookies. The perfect blend of soft and crunchy.Listen, if you are trying to Netflix and chill with some good soul food, check this place out.To set your expectations, I will tell you that there may be a wait to get your order. That’s because they popular but the food is so worth the wait. I just checked out my social media until my food was ready. Patience is key but you won’t be disappointed. A+“
“Yesterday I stopped by Nanas Kitchen. The customer service was amazing ?? I was so excited to try the food and they did NOT disappoint. I got the Keith Lee special which consisted of Smoked BBQ Ribs ⭐️Honey Hot Wangz ⭐️Fried Chik’n ⭐️Bussin Baked Beans ⭐️Collard Greens ⭐️Mac & Cheese ⭐️& Cornbread. My least favorite was the BBQ rib however, surprisingly my daughter who swore she would never eat any vegetarian food liked the rib. Everything else was very very good. All the sides were really good. I would definitely come be back. Thank you for your hospitality“
“The best fried chicken there is! It's made to order and always delicious. The chicken is incredibly juicy and perfectly cooked every time. The mac and cheese is thick, creamy and sooo cheesy. The sweet potato pie is outstanding (get it with vanilla ice cream!). Gus's is one of the best spots in town!“

“The food was delicious, our server was nice, and it was clean. We were visiting from Florida for the University of Phoenix graduation and wanted southern food. It’s only a few minutes from the Chase field! Don’t walk there RUN there! If we ever visit again I will definitely stop by! Oh & we only spent about $50 for a family of four! 10/10“
“Absolutely fantastic bbq. Saw a YouTube video of mark wiens recommending this spot. When we came to Phoenix my wife and I knew we needed to try it. Brisket, pulled pork, rib tips and Mac and cheese were all fantastic. Will definitely visit again! Great value for the price.“

“So, I tried Missy’s for the first time last week as I’ve always wanted to try it out. Needless to say after trying it last Tuesday, my entire work team got it for lunch Thursday. The wings are next level. You can tell they make their own batter for the wings. And all their sauces are made in house as well. The ranch is phenomenal. Steak fries, hush puppies, all of it. “I haven't been here in a while so it was definitely time. I woke up at 5am with this place on my mind so I had to suffer for five hours until opening. I went for the chicken and waffles and sweet tea. I chose a wing, a thigh and a leg, covered it in Lo Lo's signature hot sauce and went to town. Everything was delicious. Chicken was crispy and flavorful (forget about that national brand stuff) the waffles were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I got another three piece chicken and waffles to go for dinner but I went with the gravy and onions for a twist. Can't wait until dinner dime. Service was top notch as usual, greeted politely immediately at the door and sat quickly. Server was great and took care of every need. Won't take so long to make my next trip.“
“My wife and I saw this restaurant when on vacation in Las Vegas, and we wanted to go but didn't get the opportunity. When we saw it Scottsdale, we decided to give it a try. The location is kind of crazy being next to a Holiday Inn where you have to watch where you are parking as not to park in the designated hotel spots. We were fine as we went on a Tuesday night. It wasn't crowded so we were able to get a table quickly.I had the chicken and waffles, both were good. The chicken was seasoned just right, but the waffles were average. My wife had the platter. I must say their mac and cheese was pretty good, almost gives mine a run for the money! We both thought the sweet potatoes were on point as well.Overall a good experience we will definitely be back when we are in the area. Have to try their DVZ's Hot Ghetto Mess to see if it does has that Chicago Southside "Harold's Chicken Shack" feel since we are from the Chi!“
