Based on the reviews, Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken offers the best chicken and catfish, with one of the best spicy chicken sandwiches ever had. The chicken is juicy, crispy, and has flavor on top of spice, served fresh and hot with bold seasoning. The fried okra is cooked perfectly, the hush puppies are amazing, and the fried pickles are delicious. Even the sweet tea slapped. The atmosphere is very low key and chill. Service is amazing, with friendly and helpful staff who have great customer service, warm and hospitable personalities, and contagious energy. They make suggestions without being pushy and never let drinks get low. This is a great place to stop for a bite before a show.
