“I hadn't had some spot on fried chicken for as long as I can remember. The fried chicken was so damn good and cooked to perfection!! The crunch and seasoning were just absolute heaven, the sides(mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac n cheese,corn bread and Mac salad were all perfect and hands down just delish!! My taste buds were loving me for taking them there and I was so happy they were happy!! The restaurant was nice and cool, absolutley spotless and clean, service was great and warming, prices were right in for what I expected. My wife ordered the Moist Succulent Pork Chop and she said it was perfect and so delicious!! She also raved about the sweet tea and how fresh it tasted and brewed to perfection. I would've tasted her pork chop but I was elbows deep in my fried chicken and sides!! Needless to say I will 100% be returning again and cant wait to devour some more of that fried chicken. 🤤🤤“

“I was skeptical at first but the chicken was great the greens and baked beans weren’t my favorite on flavor side but they’re super good if you fix it up a bit or I recommend the snack combo if you just want the chicken and add a extra piece (edit: forgot to add the chocolate pie was amazing)“

My friend and I love BBQ so before she was due to fly out, we stopped by here since it's not far by the airport and TikTok had previously had it pop up into my feed. It was absolutely worth it.
We highly recommend the Mac bowls. Bring your comfy pants because you will over eat. A 1 meat and two sides technically fed two people. 😅 Don't skip on the Guava lemonade or the Peach cobler cake.
The rib tips have sauce but it doesn't drown out the smokehouse flavor.“

“This is a solid restaurant and wasn't too expensive. The chicken and waffles were outstanding, and the drinks were well made and reasonably priced. We waited a bit for our table reservation, but our waiter made up for it by covering one of our drinks. He was also responsive and made sure we got out on time for the Magus show.“

“Growing up on the south side of Chicago spoiled me for good barbeque sauce. I have finally found a good one here in Phoenix at the new Southern Delights restaurant. I ordered the fried pork chops which came with the barbeque sauce and it was excellent. Speaking with McCowan's, they will be having ribs on the menu soon and I look forward going back for those as well. The portions are more than fair for the price and the sides (Mac and Cheese, Collard Greens, and Corn Bread) were also down home good. It is a repeater.“

The only bad thing it’s that there is to much wait for the food on the Phoenix restaurant (like 1 hour), but if you want less time I do recommend the Scottsdale one (like 20 mins)“

“The food was delicious. Seasoned well and meat was to the bone delicious. I had catfish, green beans and potatoes, cabbage and cornbread. My mom had the BBQ rib tips and my little girl had the fried chicken with Cole slaw and Mac and cheese. I do recommend. Now if you are used to bland food, this place isn’t for you.“

“Fried chicken skin & hush puppies as appetizers followed by BBQ Shrimp & Grits w/ side of black eyed peas with rice. Two in our party enjoyed the Hanger Steak and sautéed veggies.😋 Although not quite like our experience in New Orleans the chef still ‘brought it’! We will be back! 👍💯“
