“I ordered a belam chicken wrap and was a little disappointed. Although it tasted good I felt there was insufficient ingredients portional to the tortilla. The Viet iced coffee was very well done. I ordered a coconut chocolate churro and that was a very tasty. The service was good, not outstanding.“

“Me and my boyfriend went here for breakfast and the food was very good. I got the hacienda hash (which I feel is only a spring item) and he got the BLT Benedict and two pancakes. We also got the million dollar bacon. He said he wished that there was more hollandaise sauce on the Benedict but that it was still delicious. My hash was very good and so was the million dollar bacon. You think the million dollar bacon is just Maple bacon but it kind of isn't. It has much more flavor and a very unique delicious taste compared to Maple bacon. It did take us a moment or two to get seated but our waiter was very nice.“

“First of all, never would have guessed this place was here! Watched a TikTok and saw this recommendation saying to skip Dutch in the same parking lot and head to New Penny. Soooo glad we did! Had a coffee date with my AZ bestie and drove 1hr to get here from North Scottsdale. My gf is on the westside. Walked in and immediately appreciated the welcoming environment. Very open and spacious with tons of seating including outside on the patio with a cabana-like setup. Super cute. The menu is huge with tons of not only coffee drinks but boozy ones too. I tried a new menu item - the Elote Avocado Toast. Yumm!! It was topped with pickled onion which is definitely a favorite of mine. The elote part of the toast was exactly what I was expecting. I also tried their highly favored Zebra coffee which I got iced. Sooo stinking good that I drank it slowly all morning. I paid for it last night with going to bed later lol, but it was worth it. My gf got a coffee which she also loved and oatmeal which was scrumptious too. The shop inside of local vendors was a lovely touch to walk through especially while you wait. I think everyone in Avondale must stop here because there such a wide range of people from Mom’s brunching with their babies, to grandmas/grandpas, to Firefighters ;). I highly suggest visiting and I know I’ll be back. Maybe next visit we’ll have time to walk the grassy area just outside with the bridge over the pond.“

“My wife works nearby this place and talks about it constantly. I feel like I know the people who run it from everything I've heard. She isn't easy to please, so they must be a really great family. Highest commendations for service, and while I can't speak to all the food, I will say that the bagels and banana bread are to class. It's always nice to run into people who CARE about their business and customers.“

“This is a really nice place to come, relax, and chill for breakfast or lunch. Parking is not great however, since it's a completely dirt parking lot, so don't visit after washing you car, or you'll be disappointed. Service is typically slow. Overall ery nice facilities and atmosphere. It's actually located in the welcome center of the community Lucero @ Estrella.Parking: Parking is completely made of dirt, which flies up as you drive and covers your entire car.“

“This charming little shop is a great place to stop in and get a delicious snack, meal, or drink. They have several different crepes both sweet and savory, and even have them in minis (so you can try more without feeling guilty), there are great drink options, and the atmosphere is clean and quiet in the day but sometimes has live music in the evenings. The best part of this restaurant is the customer service. The team is friendly, caring, and engaging, and speak both English and Spanish. Drope in and enjoy!“

“Went for brunch on a Monday. Food was good but lacked flavor and spice. Even the habenero salsa was bland. I get it, the majority of patrons probably don’t enjoy spice like I do. But it’s nice to have options. $5 for a side of toast was uncalled for. Service was great! Love the patio seating. We chose this spot for the mimosas, which left my bank account with a hangover.“

“I ordered an iced matcha latte, with vanilla syrup. It was so delicious. Matcha can be a hit or miss at some coffee shops. The aesthetic is pleasing & I love the high sealing plus the outdoor seating. The service was pleasant and quick, I will be returning.“

“The chicken fried steak is amazing, the eggs taste good. All their food seems higher quality than similar places. I love their juice selection, cranberry, tomato, grapefruit, apple, etc.. I hate their coffee. It’s terrible, almost undrinkably so. The service is superb, absolutely outstanding. You can tell professionals work here, and the prices are also very, very fair.“

“It was a wonderful experience! The owner is so friendly and the food is amazing! They made sure our meal just as we had hoped and just how we asked. ❤️ I asked for Texas french toast and for it to be extra crispy if possible. After I took a few bites, they asked how I liked it and if it was crispy enough. I told them I loved it but next time, I’d order it even crunchier. Guess what they did…this is awesome…they offered to recook it and make it crunchier and THEY DID! I can’t wait to go back-I’ll be more specific next time because, they all work so hard and I don’t want them doing extra work. If you love family and you love food, go to Kay’s!“

“Stopped here on our way out one Saturday morning. Of course it smelled terrific, and gentleman running the counter was very welcoming. My wife got the chocolate chip cookie and a snickerdoodle, and I went with peanut butter. They were still warm and soft. Looks as though they serve other things like sandwiches, coffees, and smoothies too. Will definitely make another trip to try out some more treats.“

Boba was delicious and the food was just as good for the simple item we bought. Pricing is fair for the 3 items we bought; reg tea, large tea, and 1 churro, which came out to $28 after tip.“

“Came here for lunch with a friend who found this place for my birthday. I'm Bosnian and was craving some really good food. This place definitely had that and then some. The owner is a beautiful, sweet woman. She greeted my friend and I with a smile and took very good care of us. I felt like I was with family. The food was amazing. I ordered the cevapcici, the meat was perfect and bread was amazing!! I had coffee cause that is what you do as tradition. It was perfect. I will be coming back for sure. Make sure if you come bring cash as this is a cash only establishment.“

“Super cute local business. Wanted to try something new and found Casita Kahlo. Thankfully my family and I know Spanish but I would recommend bringing a bilingual friend to help with translations. A little pricey but everything is super fresh. They use super high quality ingredients and cut the fruit made to order to keep the fruit juicy and fresh. “This place is located nicely near the entertainment district, right in front of the seating area in Westgate where the waters turn on in the summer for the kids. I arrived close to closing time but was still greeted politely and seated in an area of my choosing. The server was helpful with offering popular item suggestions as I'd never been to this location before. I was satisfied with their food options and it was very flavorful as well.“
