“This is the best bread this side of the Mississippi, yes, you read that correctly, it's the absolute best! We moved to the area 6 months ago and tried all the bakeries in the wrea, and now we go out of our way for Barrio Bread.

Our favorite breads are the Jalapeno Cheddar, Cinnamon Raisin, Pain Au Levain, and Heritage.

The owner, Don Guerra, is always there, he is so nice, and seems so happy to share his passion for bread. There is usually a line, but totally worth the wait.

“We ordered a bunch of things at Houlden’s this morning, We’ve only tried a few things, but everything so far is delicious. We tried a chocolate hazelnut croissant and a chocolate cronut. We still have a number of other items to try out. They have a selection of savory items but we didn’t get any of those thinking we’d be going to lunch somewhere. That was a mistake! “Delicious. I'm very fussy about pie, crust and filling must rock. Crust was crisp and tender, not at all soggy. Score!
The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, the filings were too sweet for my taste; they were still very good, just a bit two sweet.
I tried the lemon meringue and chocolate. The whipped cream was truly cream (and delicious).
These are small pies reasonably priced, worth trying.“

“As far as bakery bread, it isn't the best I've ever had (but with a very high bar--it's still good!). Service was efficient and so very friendly, it brightened my whole afternoon.

I got their take on a sourdough loaf, and a crème brûlée.

I wouldn't recommend the latter. It was overly sweet, too thick and dense, and had too much sugar on top--it wasn't all melted and the shell was quite soft underneath.

I'll definitely go back for more sourdough, and the great service.“

“This place is honestly one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson. They have a variety of pastries, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The service is overall really good and I always get my food really quickly, the staff are really nice. The inside of the building is cozy and great if you need to do work.

It was not only delicious, but Malta Joe threw in a couple of wonderful blueberry dessert minitzzi too! i highly recommend the birria pastizzi, the ricotta pastizzi, and the nutella and blueberry minitzzis! “On Sunday November 10th, 2019 I got to marry my best friend. Dillon and I are high school sweethearts and have finally tied the knot after 9.5 years! For our wedding we always knew we would use a Bundt cake. I’m a vintage girl at heart and nothing says old fashion more than a Bundt! When ordering the cakes we were worried about getting them to the venue as the store is closed on Sunday. The associate on staff was not nearly as concerned as she ran back to call you to get your approval for a Sunday delivery. She also assured me that they would be fresh cakes and that guest would love them! The ease and support she showed us was amazing! My guests loved the cake and said it was the best tasting wedding cake! The fan favorite was the white chocolate raspberry. The best part of ordering from you is every year on our anniversary, Dillon and I can purchase a fresh Bundt and be transformed to our special day! “Working with Jamie was such a treat! My wedding was destination (I’m from Alabama) When I reached out Jamie responded quickly and we set up a face time call. We talked about design and flavors and timelines. Jamie was patient as I got plans together. I didn’t get to try the cake but she does offer cake tasting boxes. However I can say the cake is so good you won’t even need to try it before you order as the cakes are amazing! Jamie set up the cake before our reception started and it held up well until we cut it. I definitely recommend Jamie for all of your cake needs!“

Instead, they decided to go with a macaron tower, but where to get it made? We discovered that Woops and the wonderful Ellie could produce such a masterpiece.
