Not a real Benihana’s, beware. Just operates under the name. You’ll get your stuff through RA sushi which also has bad reviews.

This is a ghost kitchen that operates out of the RA Sushi kitchen. You can only order take out or delivery. (UPDATE: You can also order Benihana dishes while dining in at RA Sushi, but your food is def just cooked in the back of the house). If you go to this location expecting the standard teppanyaki dining experience that Benihana provides at full service locations, you will be disappointed. You will not sit get to sit 6 inches from a blazing hot grill at a table with complete strangers, nor will you get to see the chef pretend to burn himself. You will not see the the onion train, nor the onion volcano. You will have to figure out a different way to terrify your small children with a giant fireball. If you want something sorta similar to the standard US teppan experience offered by full service locations, you'll have to sit super close to your backyard grill while watch a YouTube video of a Benihana teppan chef cooking for people who are actually having a fun night out.Or you can enjoy the full experience while supporting a local business instead, like Sakura or Mr Ann's (which happens to be in the original Benihana Tucson building).Every time I try to update this page to accurately reflect the establishment, my edit gets rejected. You'd think Benihana would want to mitigate consumer disappointment. But Benihana & RA are probably both owned by, like, McDonald's and Ronald is hoping that you'll just decide to have your night out at RA since you're already there anyway!UPDATE: Apparently RA staff just says "oh yea, u should totes eat here bc we do have Benihana. Hurry up and commit to staying here! No need to get out your phone & Google 'teppanyaki Tucson'. It's juuuuust like being at a regular Benihana. Trust us!" Lol

I called to place an order and the gentleman told me that there was no host. Could I call back in a few minutes?

There is no Benihana. It is RA sushi and there owner is Benihana or something like that. They do not take the Benihana bday coupon.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is a scam. Ordered $60 worth of food expecting a meal like actual in-person Benihana restaurants I have been to elsewhere. The pictures speak for themselves. Two bites of beef for their “for two” hibachi meal. Both soups don’t even count for one. The only thing normal was the salad…?. Never go here, it’s a ghost kitchen that won’t even pick up the phone because they know they’re a scam.

THIS IS NOT BENIHANA ordered take out for 2 portions were a straight up SCAM. $60 for cold soup without vegetables and EXTREMELY small portions. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS PLACE IS A SCAM

One-star as listing is misleading. It’s not a Benihana, it’s a RA Sushi (RA is owned by Benihana)

Do not order take out. Everything was cold. Didn't get everything that was supposed to be included with hibachi dinner for 2. Ordered steak medium rare, was shoe leather. Cold shrimp, no sauces, no salad. Veg, steak, shrimp was cold. Massive fail. Straight rip off.

Well, i did really like this place, it just was not what i was expecting... I docked one star because it was not the Benihana i wanted to go to. It's actually a Ghost Kitchen named RA and while it does host some of Benihana's meals, it fell short on the aesthetic of the 'show' portion, since that is one thing Benihana is known for. RA staff explained that they were a type of ghost kitchen thing that not only had some of their own food but some of Benihana and Hibachi's foods too. The food was wonderful, the drink was amazing. The setting was casual but nice though it wasn't what i was initially expecting. Staff were kind and courteous with letting us know if there were any changes since we showed up at shift change. It was a bit pricey but for the quality and serving size i still found it rather enjoyable. Defiantly NOT a Benihana place, but good as it is. I would and probably will return.

This is a delivery or takeout restaurant only and shares space with a sushi restaurant. We ordered two full meals for $35 each and received a bento style box without the rice or soup advertised as part of the meal. If you are expecting a Benehana quality meal then you will be disappointed. A very poor value and the food was marginal at best. I would recommend you consider one of the many other quality restaurants in Tucson rather than this poor attempt at Benehana.
