I think it’s really great that the owner hires so many teenagers with special needs. With enough training, they’ll eventually learn how to get your order right. Kudos to you guys.
As you know, I'm addicted to those Royal NY cheesecake blizzards. I don't often go to other Dairy Queens except for the one on 22nd Street. I ended up at the Tanque Verde location because it happened to be close to my destination. This was last night, Sunday July 2nd. The staff were friendly but my blizzard had very little strawberries in it, no graham crackers and almost no cheesecake chunks. Pure nostalgia with this Dairy Queen location! While the exterior has gotten a slight face lift, they left all the good parts of the OG DQ's including the iconic red and white metal umbrellas and window ordering, no speakers here!
