“A great little sushi place! There are two seats for dine in but I did take out through their online ordering. The couple who runs the shop have the best hospitality. They care very deeply about the food and service!

The fish was amazingly fresh and I really enjoyed the saba shiso roll. I'm very excited to try they their other rolls next time!“

I am a huge sushi lover and I’m always on a hunt 🙂 I work in the area and came across this place: what a luck!
Absolutely delicious rolls and my personal favourites are their Philadelphia and California (yes, a regular simple California tastes so very special, I can’t get enough!) My fav order is a three rolls combo: California - Philadelphia - Spicy tuna. Delicious!

“If you're looking for affordable, no-frills sushi in Vancouver, Samurai Sushi is a solid option, but not outstanding choice. Well known for their huge portions and budget-friendly combos that won't break the wallet, it's a go-to spot for students or anyone needing a quick, filling meal.

The takeout experience was fast and efficient, especially ordering on the phone with their pre-order discounts. If you order 2 hours in advance you get a small discount. We tried a few staples like California rolls, unagi roll, chopped scallop roll, and a dynamite roll. The chopped scallop and dynamite rolls stood out with decent flavour and generous portions, but the California and unagi rolls were quite plain and a bit underwhelming—all rolls very heavy on rice. The soy sauce was also quite strong.

Overall, the sushi is pretty average, but you’re getting great value and portions for the price. It’s convenient, filling, and does the job if you're craving sushi on a budget—but don’t expect premium quality.

“Dunning the one and half year of Covid 19 pandemic , sad to see a lot of restaurants struggling to stay afloat , lot of them just shut their door for good , , some owner started cut back quality , hop in for late lunch after dropping my aunt off from the hospital, first time visit , looks a young family run , not a big place , but Safety guidelines well performed , clean and cozy atmosphere , I feel very comfortable about it , menu is a single use , it is almost 2pm , still the place is packed , lot of take out ,,I choose the Sashimi Benton , one of the best experiences I had for Benton , WOW ! WOW ! surprised to see the Thick cut of Salmon ,Tuna ,Tai Sashimi , the owner is not cutting back !!! and it is so fresh just melt in my month ,very colourful , the teriyaki chicken very delicious , rice can improved , little soft , but over all fantastic Japanese Sushi place , very affordable staff very friendly , she come back twice make sure I am happy ! this restaurant can stand side by side at any 5 star restaurant in Vancouver ! for their quality and service , well done ! I will be back for sure ! if you are in the area ,give it a try !you will thank me for it !“
