“This restaurant has just added daily specials and tonights was the fish and chips, one piece of superbly battered cod and a pile of french fries for $12.99, you could upgrade, which I did to two pieces for an extra $6.00. The only catch! was that you had to buy a beveridge and there are loads of great beer on tap, so that wasn't a problem. Julie also provided gratis a small dessert which again was excellent. With the wonderful views over the Mount Brenton Golf Course its well worth the trip from Ladysmith, will have to try the riubs which I understand is the Monday special.“
“Love the curry beef but the the old hag working there is horrible, I don't normally leave a tip for pick up orders but I figured the food is good but not again. She has yet to thank me for the tips. I'm not cheap and always give 20%. Never has she thanked me. The woman who retired when covid hit was amazing. She used to joke about about delivering to my home in Vancouver by paddling her canoe, lol. Night and day with customer service“
“Jason never fails to deliver the best British Fish and chip meal you will have this side of London, whether you choose Cod, Halibut or Haddock. The batter is light and crisp and NOT soggy, uncooked, or greasy. His Coleslaw is fresh and creamy and he Panko shrimp are crisp and tasty. I brought home my extras to have the next day. The service is top notch with two neatly dressed servers who attended to me regularly. Also I noticed they were doing takeout at the same time. With ample parking outside, I also noticed they catered to people with mobility issues as there is ample room inside for walkers or wheelchairs. Two thumbs up. Located on the Trans Canada highway, first turn after the Ramada. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“We ordered staff lunch (6 burgers ) on a Friday afternoon. This is another one of those kitchen sink numbers that, at first glance, looks cluttered with superfluous toppings—but it works. Even with bacon, cheese, pickles, multiple sauces and caramelized onions, the gloriously beefy patty still shines through, and that’s no small feat.“
