“Ankit was our server on Christmas Eve and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Ankit was attentive and personable and the food was excellent! This has been our tradition for 6 years now and it will continue to be. We also frequent Turmeric throughout the year. Well done to the chef and staff.“

“I have been twice to the Hot Dog Guys and cannot wait to go again. Awesome choices and the best veggie dog I have ever tasted. So many toppings and the bun and hot dog were fresh and so tasty. “We were recommended this restaurant by someone who lives in Victoria- who said this was their favorite restaurant. We decided if a local recommends it we had better try it, however we forgot to make reservations and found ourselves in a predicament. We ended up going on our last night in town (a Friday) and hoping to get in at the first come first serve bar which has 10 seats. Unfortunately the bar was full when we got there at 5:45 but we were able to put our name on the wait list for a party of 4. The rest of the restaurant was all folks who had made prior reservations, which are available up to 30 days in advance.
I’m so thrilled to report we were able to secure bar seating for 4 around 6:20 and we were definitely not disappointed. The server Eric and bar tender Barry were both great and made our experience enjoyable socially, and the food was incredible. Definitely fine flavors and unique options that you don’t really see other places. They have an extensive wine list and some fun cocktails as well as beer options and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. We got the AGLIO ARROSTO e GORGONZOLA as a starter which all four of us thoroughly enjoyed. We also ordered the MELANZANE al FORNO and the SPAGHETTI al FUOCO both of which were exquisite. The flavors in both dishes sparkled and I can’t wait to go back and eat there again the next time I’m in Victoria. If you’re looking to go I definitely recommend reservations if you want to ensure you get a spot.“

“This place was amazing! Nice staff and clean inside. The chicken and pancakes were delicious. The chicken had a tiny kick to it which I really appreciated. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. The cinnamon rolls were also soooooo good! Huge size and love that they warm it up for you. Possibly the best I’ve ever had! Definitely don’t skip this place 🙂“

“Although the service is mainly afternoon tea, it is definitely not at the level of a simple fancy afternoon tea. The meals prepared by the chef for lunch on 2024/10/03 are of a very high standard. You basically have to stay for half a day when you go to Butcha Garden. Eating here is the best choice.“

Nestled up in the Millstream mall area, owners Frank and Chef Ann always offer exceptional service and Thai flavours that are the best in the Westshore and Victoria. We have sampled many menu items (lunch and dinner) and they are all so consistently good it is hard to choose a favourite.

Today, we had the vegetarian pad Thai, and the Mango Thai Noodle soup that were served with a small salad or spring roll. Generous potions and the food came out quickly and hot. Both meals were delicious! Frank and Ann really make the effort every time we come to ensure our meals are exactly what we hoped for. It was!

Vegetarian options: I asked them to leave out the egg in the Tofu Pad Thai and there was no hesitation about leaving it out. Their menu references that most items can be made vegetarian.“

“Came here for Brunch, I had ordered the BLT and a latte. Place was packed, but one table had just opened up so I thought that was perfect. Unfortunately my BLT came long before my coffee. The BLT was crazy spicy, my mouth was on fire, not what I expected, was a little sad about it. But the candied bacon & pretzel bun was delicious. Wish there was more of a warning regarding the level of spice as I couldn’t finish it. But I ordered a hibiscus cold drink to hopefully cool down my mouth. Like the latte, drink took a very long time to come. Overall I would come here again. Workers are lovely, as is the atmosphere, food and drinks“

“We recently visited a Tibetan kitchen restaurant during a day trip to Victoria, Canada, with a group of Nepalese friends. Naturally, we were drawn to this place because it reminded us of the momo and thenthuk we often enjoyed back home in Nepal.

The experience did not disappoint! I ordered both momo and thenthuk, and they were absolutely delicious—authentic, flavorful, and truly satisfying. The service was excellent as well; the staff were quick, friendly, and attentive. Bonus points for offering free Wi-Fi, which made the experience even better.
