“Fruitvale subway is always the place to go! The staff are all so lovely and often give my little girl a cookie for free after eating. The store is always kept clean and tidy as well, which is something I'm always looking at.”

“Very quiet. Very friendly. New beds. Slept well! Wife was down for emergency surgery in Trail and being low income farm workers we couldnt afford an expensive fancy motel for me to get some after two days no sleep. Surgery went well but wife had to spend another night in recovery. The motel is older style yes but the price was worth every penny. Two nights and i am rested. Thanks to nice management! Great coffee too! Would stay again if needed.”

“We so love it here. Always welcoming and remember you which we so appreciate. Feels like visiting a friends place when we stop in. The pizza is amazing and a great place to have a glass of wine or an ice cream on a hot day. Love that it’s near the kids park. Our daughter can grab an ice cream and we walk to gyro to play. It’s perfect!”

“Fantastic gluten friendly baked goods. Hamburger buns, hotdog buns, bread, pizza crust and more. My husband is allergic to gluten and these alternatives tast very very good. The breads are soft and tender with good flavor. So far, in our gluten free journey, these have been the only breads that he has been able to enjoy un-toasted. He is pretty gluten sensitive and seems mosty ok with these gluten friendly breads.”

“Day trip to Trail and stopped here for lunch. We thought the food was amazing. Our food choices were the roasted red pepper soup with bread and the sandwich special which was a grilled cheese (3 cheeses) with bacon, tomato and aioli along with a side Caesar salad. All offerings were delicious. The server was working solo but doing her best to accommodate everyone in a timely manner. Would definitely return.”

“I visited Trail Coffee Company a year ago, and I remember that experience as being exceptional. Visiting friends in the Kootenays gave me the opportunity to again have lunch and see if the experience would match my memories. I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered a cup of the tomato and basil soup, and the 5 Alarm Fire sandwich on sourdough. As you can see in the photo, the soup came with the sandwich and included some corn chips with, what tasted like, fresh salsa. The tomato and basil soup was incredibly rich with lovely Tuscan flavour. The “cup” of soup was a significant amount and I could imagine enjoying the soup and salad combination as a complete lunch. The 5 Alarm Fire sandwich lived up to its name with its cayenne aioli, chicken, bacon, hot sauce, cheddar, banana peppers, cucumber, and greens. I love spicy foods and this sandwich had enough heat to create interest, without overpowering the various flavours. The sandwich was enough that I really could have been entirely satisfied with just half, but it tasted too good to stop halfway.The wait staff were friendly and the service from the kitchen was fast enough for me to enjoy a cup of their full bodied coffee. It might be due to the youth of the wait staff, but I consider it to be exceptional service when the server checks with me within a minute or two of delivery to see if everything is as expected, or I want to ask for something in addition. I will suggest that on my way out.All together I enjoyed a fabulous lunch and would be a frequent visitor if I lived here. Congratulations to the owners and Trail for an excellent restaurant.”

“Stopped in for a beer and to get out of the heat. Never expected to find such a cool lounge in Trail. With the wood paneling, cosy tables and exquisite stain glass I thought we stepped back in time to a 1920's jazz club.It was quiet when we stopped in, and the manager was friendly and chatted with us for a bit. A surprising and refreshing find. I would to stop in again and try one of their cocktails, they all looked yummy.”

“Worst customer service in a restaurant that I have ever received. My family found this restaurant just a few months back. We have visited quite frequently as we all love Chinese food. The wonton soup is the best I have ever had. we always eat-in and spend at least $100 every single visit. After last night's visit, we will not be returning. We always order the same items, last night the ginger beef was so overcooked it was not edible. When the server asked how everything was we told her about the ginger beef. The owner Amy then came over and told us "that's how we do it". In the last few months I have eaten this dish about 8 times, and I told Amy I have ordered this dish everytime and this is not how it comes out. Amy then told me if I wanted to chew it, I have to tell them when I order it, I said well of course I want to be able to chew my food. We debated back and forth for a few minutes about how she wasn't going to take the dish back and refund our bill for the item. She then said ok let me go talk to the cook, which is her husband. She came back and said " No, we will not do anything as the cook said "that's how he cooks it." We have never complained about any item before this happened. I was absolutely shocked about how they handled this. Very unprofessional. They lost very good customers over something that could have been settled very easily.”

The place is not always as clean in the seating area as I would like, but the workers are very careful in my experience, about gloves and food cleanliness .Prices etc. Are standard for subway. Wish there was some canned music maybe, or anything/something more inviting to make you want to sit in and eat, but otherwise a great place to pick up subs.Vegetarian options: Not vegan, I don't think, but definitely vegetarian friendly.”

“I went the Tim Hortons and at the order screen I noticed that somebody had spit on the screen.I talked to a person who had reported it yesterday, and a week ago, and the spit is still there and it's kind of disturbing when trying to order food.”
