“Absolutely amazing! They have dishes you don't see in most standard Indian places. We had the chicken lababdar (better than butter chicken) and dry chili chicken; the chicken in both was juicy and flavorful. We also had the shahi paneer, and a wonderful tender lamb coconut curry. The absolute stand out was the eggplant bhartha which was smokey and rich. We are avid meat eaters but all of us said we could eat this vegetarian dish and not miss meat at all. We also had roti, garlic naan, peshawari naan and gulab jamun that were perfect. We ordered everything mild, because we're wimps, but the dishes were still incredibly flavorful. This is the best Indian food in Nanaimo and I've been to them all!“
“Amazing curry and masala. Naan was fresh out of the oven, and the serving sizes were great. Good prices, too.Parking: You are allowed to bring your bike right into the food court, and there is security everywhere. No need to worry about having your bike stollen.“
“Delicious food and generous portions. Always great service and welcoming attitude. I have tried many items on the menu--usually with chicken (big tender bites) swimming in curry with hot fresh naan. I have tried Jalfrezi, vegetable and paneer pakoras, butter chicken, masala and the house curry--so good. The lassi rice pudding is tasty too. The restaurant is cozy, simple and always cleanly The price is reasonable. You won't be disappointed.“
“Delicious food and great service - thanks to the very friendly Garima for helping our group, she was an absolute delight. Also, thank you to the very friendly Anista for taking our table's photo.Highly recommend, and the best view in the city,“
“Absolutely fantastic food, atmosphere and service! The staff and the owners really go above and beyond, and it’s the best Indian food in Nanaimo. I have tried new dishes there that I had never tried before because the food is consistently delicious, flavourful, and incredible.“
“Been here a couple of times and the food never disappoints. The service is always really friendly and the food comes out rather quick. The prices are absolutely fair, everything’s quite affordable in my opinion!!Vegetarian options: They have a whole page with vegetarian options, tried a bunch and they were all delicious.“
“You can't get better Indian food in Nanaimo. The food is fresh, prepared when you order, and served hot. You can also order three different levels of spice hotness. Service is prompt without being over - bearing. The lavish decor on the inside is not predicted by the plain exterior. Highly recommended for couples or large groups. Do not expect fast-food speed from when you order until the time your meal is served.****Update January 2024We won’t eat there anymore, or get take out, because their prices have sky/rocketed and they must have a new cook who is much less talented.“
“Food is good. Service can be better.I think the owner wants to cut on labour cost that is why there were only 2 girls working during the peak rush hour. The girls were trying their very best but it is hard when your restaurant is packed with dine in, take out and delivery orders. Our order for just 1 cheese dosa came out in about 35 min after placing the order. I see many comments on staff being rude not smiling etc and it can be true if there's only 2 servers working suring peak hours.“
“Every dish we ordered was mouth wateringly delicious, with rich flavours and the spice level was as we requested. I appreciated that the entrees come with naan included, unlike some places that charge extra. Service was friendly and quick. We can't wait to go back.“
