“You know it's good when the spice aroma tickles your senses from across the road! The chicken is absolutely melt in the mouth tender! We ordered the medium heat, yes, there is hot, but medium hit our sweet spot!We enjoyed the spinache chicken, butter chicken, curry chicken. Plus, pilao rice, 2 orders garlic naan & raita. Perfect amount the 3 of us! The bill was very reasonable & quantity beyond expectations! The only area of improvement would be another table; But space is at a premium. Affordable, delectable Indian Spice Root will be on our regular rotation! We can't wait to try some of their other dishes & desserts!Just wish I'd taken pics, but couldn't wait to partake! Next time, hopefully. ?? ???❤️?? Tip: look at the on line menu before you go! Lots to chose from for every budget! Open for lunch too, but take out is also an option!Vegetarian options: Loads of options“
“Love this place, went with my wife and son for dinner. The moment you enter you are welcome with a big smile, our server was friendly. Dint remember his name. He was good in suggesting the daily special. The non veg platter is so good! Been here few time. Last time we had veg platter which is also amazing. As per suggestion tried puran singh da tariwala murgh. But to be honest dint enjoy it much, felt it was heavy on gram masala. Even told the server he said it’s suppose to be that way. For me it’s kind no no.“
“It was my first time trying Roy’s and it was phenomenal the curried lamb was so tender and delicious and I guess I should’ve asked if it came with rice because I ordered extra rice and had a lot of rice left over and both the Naan and the roti were delicious as well. I would go back in a heartbeat!“
“It’s one of the best Indian restaurants in Vancouver. You can count on great service, food quality and ambience. It was my wife`s birthday June 13. We were joined by her boss and wife from Nairobi Kenya. What a surprise. We had a really nice meal and the service was excellent. Thankyou so much for a nice evening. Douglas“
“Superb Indian restaurant! It was my first time here today and I will definitely return for other food. The Naan tasted so soft yet chewy, and was really a good combination with the cottage cheese in the Paneer tikka masala. I got it in medium spicy this time and will go for less spicy next time. Have pretty decorations like paintings inside. Really nice and friendly staff there:)“
“Indian street foods and fusions served in a food court style with different restaurants serving their own selections. You order on a machine and pay beforehand. You can choose from any of the restaurants or a mix of them. Each restaurant has their own stall where your food will be picked up from. The tv screen on top tells you when your order from each restaurant is ready. Desserts and drinks are on one side and entrees on the other.Try the happy di basket chaat. A cold appetizer dish that is very filling. It is huge and recommended to be shared with 2 or more. Crunchy outside shell with yoghurt like dressing, corn flakes, dry noodles, potatoes, dried chickpeas, topped with pomegranate, lettuce and beats shavings. Tastes interesting with all the different ingredients but is not too bad as the crunchy goes nicely with the potato inside.“
“Awesome food, we've been coming to Connaught for about 20 years now. Lovely husband and wife team running it. One of our friends we introduced to this restaurant, an Indian food connoisseur, stated it to be the best she's ever had. Please support our local people.“
“From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by your staff. Not only was the ambiance inviting, but the quality of the food surpassed my expectations. Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing both creativity and skill in the kitchen.“
“I have been living in surrey since 2005 , and I remember i visited this place in around 2016 and my experience was not that good. But yesterday my friend took me again to this place, hands down !! these guys have improved so so so much !! I found that their Dal Makhni is One of the best You can get in Surrey !!“
“Food: We went here for lunch. We had chana bhatura and aloo paratha. Both the dishes were extremely delicious, served on time and perfect in quantity. Will definitely recommend these.Ambience: Perfect for a family lunch or dinner and is kid friendly.“
“It was very delicious Indian food. I have never tried Indian food in Canada, before. Because I thought there is no Indian cuisine like where I've tried it other countries. It is little far from Metrotown, but it was worth to drive there for eating out at Indian cuisine.“
“Delicious, amazing selection of tasty Indian food. You will be full and everyone will find a variety of foods they will like. They have a shorter kids buffet with kid-friendly options. The spice was perfect in all dishes - mild/medium. Service was great - efficient and nice hostess and wait staff.I took off one star because of the drinks. There are very pretty mocktails and cocktails on a placemat with no prices. The reason is that the drinks are all ridiculously overpriced. Like more than Las Vegas! They upsell as well, like ask what kind of vodka you prefer... subtly suggesting Grey Goose, well that is an extra $9 on top of the $45 jug for a mango mojito. So $54 for a jug, which is about 3-4 cocktails. He didn't tell us this how big this was, and I ordered another $17 small cocktail. Our kids got a mango lassi - in a jug of course that was $30. So our drinks came to about $100. Oh and every table has a bottle of water - this is $6 but they don't tell you that either. A price on the drink menu would be appreciated or at least a warning from the waiter.“
“Ordered take out today and was very impressed with the quality and cost of the food. The butter chicken was delightful and the garlic naan is some of the best we’ve ever had, very fresh tasting.Mango lassi was really nice and refreshing too. Serving sizes were very large for a great price.“
