“Best Indian FOOD Ever. Must try.“

“It was our first visit to this restaurant but not the last. We found this place by chance. We were starving and did not have a lot of time as we had to catch ferry. the staff person was very polite and understanding about it and our dinner was served super quick. Everything that we had ordered was delicious. My husband and I did not expect it to be this good. the staff person was very respectful. I ate good authentic Indian food after a long time. If you happen to be in North Vancouver and craving for Indian food, this is a place to go to. Nice family run restaurant. We will surely be there next time I am in North Van.“

“We had a wonderful dine-in dinner at Mumbai Masala Restaurant! The atmosphere is great and fully deserves 5 stars.The food was absolutely spectacular and packed with authentic flavor.

We started with the Tandoori Chicken Tikka Salad, which Jashan served to our table perfectly fresh and hot. The chicken was incredibly tender, deeply marinated in rich, aromatic spices, and had that perfect, smoky charred edge from the tandoor. It paired beautifully with the crisp greens. Next, we had the Mumbai Sprouted Bean Salad, which was a refreshing highlight. It was incredibly crunchy, light, and healthy, bursting with a vibrant, tangy dressing and fresh herbs that woke up the palate. Every bite of both dishes was immaculate.

Our server, Jashan, was fantastic from start to finish. Beyond serving that first dish right on time, Jashan stayed highly attentive, friendly, and ensured we had a flawless dining experience.At around $20–$30 per person, the generous portions, high-quality ingredients, and top-tier hospitality offer amazing value. We will definitely be back!

“I have celiac disease and follow a gluten‑free diet, so I always have to be careful about cross‑contamination. Before visiting any restaurant, I call ahead to make sure they understand what celiac disease means. I spoke with Raviji, owner of Niravva Indian Resturant, on Victoria Drive, and he assured me the food would be safe for me. Because of cross‑contamination, my wife and I usually avoid Indian restaurants. But last Sunday, we went to Nirvana India Restaurant and we had such a wonderful experience. Opiji came to our table and explained that they prepare all their masalas in‑house and that everything would be safe for me. They even make gluten‑free roti from scratch. It was the first time I ever had a gluten‑free roti in a restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. We also spoke with Opiji, who even shared a simple tip for making gluten‑free roti at home. For the first time, we felt we had found a safe Indian restaurant for us.“

“JJ Dosa is a solid spot if you’re craving a comforting South Indian meal. The dosa was crispy, fresh, and really satisfying, especially with the chutneys and sambar on the side. It had that simple, homemade kind of feel that makes the food easy to enjoy.

The service was friendly, the portions were good, and the whole experience felt relaxed and casual. Definitely a nice place to come back to when you want something flavourful, filling, and different from the usual restaurant options.“

“Vadapav Mirchi is one of our favorite places to eat whenever we visit Vancouver. We’ve been coming here for the last three years, and the food has been consistently excellent every single time.

The Vada Pav is fantastic and takes me right back to Maharashtra. We also loved the Bhajji, Thalipeeth, and Sol Kadi each one was full of authentic flavors and tasted just like what you’d find back home. What stood out the most on our recent visit was the Puran Poli and Amti. The Puran Poli tasted just like the one my mom makes at home, which is probably the best compliment I can give. It’s not often you find that kind of homemade flavor in a restaurant.“

“I have visited this restaurant several times for lunch and dinner, and today I stopped by for a takeout order. Even for takeout, the service was perfect.
The young woman answering the phone was so agreeable and welcoming — you could truly hear her smile through the phone, I called mid-afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. pickup, and she was just as kind and gracious when I arrived to collect the food.
The food was very good, as always. Dining in, I have consistently received attentive and professional service every time I’ve visited. ( heir lunch special is goooood)
I also checked their website because I was initially considering placing the order online, and I noticed they even have a pop-up help feature during the ordering process in case customers need assistance. That level of effort and attention to convenience really stood out to me. In the end, I decided to call instead because I wasn’t sure when my meeting would finish, so I couldn’t pre-order for a fixed time.

“The decoration is 5 stars the food is ok they have afew options not much.i was there for iftra with my family once the food finished then its done and you have to wait for at least 30 mins till the refill it . We didn’t get chance to try the dessert because there is a small portion like 10 small serving of fermi once it finished they didn’t replace so you have to be careful with dessert. Unless if you want to pay extra for bakery and buy to eat with your tea . Also it was Ramadan every thing is limited ,tea, manto, rice over all for afghans buffet is not bad . It’s was much better if they cook enough and have afew servers“
