Their bubble tea is the best in New Westminster — creamy, flavorful, and perfectly sweet! I also tried their croffles and kakanin, and wow, what a treat! The Filipino desserts reminded me of home, especially the halo-halo, which was so refreshing.

They now serve hot steamed buns (Siopao) and shaken teas, which are must-tries! You can really taste the love in their food and drinks. 💕

The staff are friendly, warm, and always greet you with a smile. Whether you're Filipino or not, Kabayan Cafe makes everyone feel welcome.

I would say that I loved the crispy kare-kare and my wife was happy with her pasta. “Went with the family after an afternoon at the movies. Great tasting quality food and excellent service! A very simple and no frills eatery for people who aren't looking for a fancy place to eat. Ordered the Sizzling Bulalo steak, Okoy and Fresh Lumpia and it didn't disappoint. Finished with and order of Halo-halo and Mais con Hielo for dessert. We also managed to meet with Achie, owner and head chef! We make it a tradition every Christmas to order take out pork belly and party tray palabok as well! Keep up the good work guys! “The premium Ube cake is the way to go! It deserves a spot being one of the wonders of the world. It is light, fluffy, airy, and full of flavour. It’s like biting into a cloud of bliss! Also tried the Ube chiffon cake but it was mainly a buttercream tasting cake which is not as good as the premium Ube cake but still good. The cakes are well decorated and a beautiful purple color. Would buy again :)“
