Kimshaker Filipino Cuisine Reviews
The food was expensive, but the portions were small. I ordered menudo, and it only had a 3 small cuts of meat and liver—the rest was mostly potatoes and carrots. It didn’t feel worth the price!!
I ordered crispy kare-kare and my wife settled for seafood pasta. The serving although we ordered solo, can feed two people. I would say that I loved the crispy kare-kare and my wife was happy with her pasta. The owner and other staff are so warm and you can feel Filipino vibes as soon as you enter the restaurant (we went to Kingsway branch). Keep it up!
Overpriced tasteless food. This is a bad representation of Filipino food. Please taste your own food before you make people eat them. Ew.

Kimshaker Filipino Cuisine is a popular spot for authentic Filipino food. The friendly and efficient staff make the dining experience enjoyable. The menu features dishes like silog with perfectly runny eggs and street food favorites such as pork sisig, pork isaw, and barbecue. Customers often recommend trying crispy Kare Kare, grilled liempo, and isaw, with many noting that the food is prepared with care and passion, showing a difference from typical rushed kitchens. Popular choices also include dinuguan, bicol express, and the 2 dish combo. Crispy kare-kare and seafood pasta are available in generous portions. Desserts like ube halaya and leche flan are offered, along with street food snacks such as kwek kwek and halo-halo. The bbq isaw is a favorite among visitors. The restaurant has limited vegetarian and vegan options but offers great value for the portion sizes, making it a must-visit for Filipino cuisine lovers. Located just 5 minutes walk from Patterson SkyTrain station, and with plenty of parking, including paid options, it is convenient for both walk-in and drive-in customers. The small restaurant is clean, and the service is friendly and welcoming.
