“I ordered crispy kare-kare and my wife settled for seafood pasta. The serving although we ordered solo, can feed two people. I would say that I loved the crispy kare-kare and my wife was happy with her pasta. The owner and other staff are so warm and you can feel Filipino vibes as soon as you enter the restaurant (we went to Kingsway branch). Keep it up!“

“My friend Jing treated me for my birthday lunch @ Jav's Kaldero today. The food were all delicious. I love the TINOLA. It was very tasty! The butter shrimp were very big & tasty. Thank you for a very good service from Morica, Jeny & Philip. They were all very nice, friendly & helpful. I invite everyone to try their BUFFET. You will all enjoy it!🥰🤤“

“Been getting my filipino food here since 2008 and sure the price went up now its 2023 but the quality of the food never changed everything taste how i expect it to taste. For the past 15 years i still drop by to this old, clean and simple restaurant. Unfortunately as of this year they don’t do dine in.“

“Overall very delicious food. Pork sisig and grilled milk fish were incredibly fragrant and delicious, and fried pork hock was juicy but couldn’t taste any coconut milk or peanut butter in the beef kare kare (beef in stew was also very fatty and overall stew was very bland). I wouldn’t mind trying other dishes on the menu if I ever visit again, just need to remember to avoid the kare kare“

“Stopped in to try empanadas, tried each flavour (pork/beef/chicken) and all are fantastic. Soft, flaky crust, generously filled, and well seasoned.
Also tried a couple impulse buys, a cookie and some hopia buko pandan, which were also good. Mostly recommend those empanadas though. Friendly staff too.“

“Would I recommend Plato Filipino? YOU BET I WILL! 👏 I’m based in Nanaimo Vancouver Island and ive gotta say, a visit to Plato Filipino New West was a highlight of my trip and worth taking the ferry for! (Dont get me started with the ferry woes am i right? 😅) I devoured their Silog-All-You-Can and boy oh boy, i was full and ultimately satisfied: the daing and lechon kawali were crispy as they should, the tocino and longganisa were sweet & tasty, the eggs & sinangag were cooked to perfection! Food is one thing and customer service is another, these two, for me, go together (its a must!) that said, Shout out to JULES, APPLE & ANNA whom I had a pleasure of meeting! More power 🫡 Next time you’re visiting the mainland, make Plato Filipino a must-go for your pinoy faves & all-time comfort foods and you wont be disappointed, trust you me!“
