So good
I've been coming here for years. NEVER been disappointed in the food and selection. Easy to read menu with pictures. My #1 dim sum choice.
This restaurant is not an American (Canadian) Chinese food restaurant. They have some dishes but I recommend the ones where the flavors are more representative of actual Chinese cuisine over the Pacific ocean.
Dining is also typical Chinese style meaning family style. You order many dishes of chicken, pork, beef, fish and veggies and share it with the entire table along with rice.

Westview Oriental Restaurant offers a variety of Cantonese and Szechuan dishes, along with daily dim sum and authentic Chinese food of good quality. Open seven days a week, except Wednesdays, the restaurant is known for its great food, generous portions, and attentive service. The atmosphere is lively, but the staff is friendly and remembers regular customers' orders. Recent reviews mention the delicious food, with highlights like the tender beef and flavorful chow mein. The restaurant also plays excellent classical music, creating a pleasant environment. While some customers found the pricing a bit high and were disappointed about charges for sauces and take-out containers, many appreciate the clean setting and helpful staff. The deep fried fish with garlic and salt remains a popular dish, and the overall experience is enjoyable for those seeking authentic Chinese cuisine in North Vancouver.
