“First timers at Koya, and definitely will be going back. We had the Tokyo Poke Bowl, and one of the best meals I've had dining out. You sit, read the menu, and then go up to the counter to place your order. The food is then brought to your table.“
“Wow! We just got back from our first time trying, and we will 100% be back!!! The portions are filling and the prices are incredibly reasonable!!! Everything was delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and welcoming. The staff were also so kind. Too freaking good.“
“Freshest Saba I've ever had in my life. And being from Vancouver, I've had sushihundreds of times. So far this is the best Nigiri in Penticton. Phili roll actually could taste the fresh flavour of wild salmon. These people do it right!Hata is soooo good!!“
“I have been ordering from here for the last 15+ years. Lately the quality has massively decreased. I always order the veggie chow mein. The noodles are extremely dry and there is no flavour other than oil. I always request no mushrooms as I am allergic and no tofu. Lately they are ignoring this request, but it has never been a problem previously. I don't know what is going on, but prices have increased and quality is down.“
“Best sushi in the Okanagan! Sean is an amazing host and is very friendly and skilled. The staff is super friendly and their service is top notch. The menu is huge with tons of options and they’re ALL incredibly good, there’s no other restaurant that matches the quality of their food. The Takoyaki is super delicious! The ramen and wonton soups are insanely good, but the best is the sushi! Tons of options and big portions! You can get 24 huge pieces of sushi plus tuna karaage for 20 bucks! The best roll is the Ogopogo imo, super tasty. These guys can’t miss“
“Staff is always friendly, food is always great and affordable. They accidentally forgot something for my order last week and more than made up for it this week. Love the noodle bowls and bubble tea.Kid-friendliness: My daughter loves the kids meals.“
“Best sushi in penticton! The portions are generous, the quality is incredible and the presentation is beautiful.Everything I have tried has been fantastic, and the spicy tofu teriyaki is a favourite so far.Vegetarian options: Probably the best vegetarian food from a non veg restaurant.“
“Me and my family are on vacation here in the valley, and me and my aunt decided to get some vegetarian sushi to try (she is vegetarian and fish & shellfish give me stomach aches), so we put in an order for pickup for some of the vegetable sushi rolls (and one futomaki roll, which has egg in it), as well as a teriyaki beef roll for me since I let my aunt have 7/8ths of the avocado & cucumber roll (I'm not a big fan of cucumbers but wanted to give the combo a try). The food was pretty good, and the futomaki ended up being the thing my aunt and me both went for the most. My aunt has never had sushi before, and she really liked it. I can't really think of anything bad to say about anything about it other than the wasabi our order came with seemed to be a bit heavy on horseradish filler and so was a bit harsh on the palate (I bought a tube I saw near the front of the restaurant they had for sale of prepared wasabi which had a much better balance & used it instead), and while the wait time for the order for pickup was a bit long (about 55 minutes), it was actually pretty understandable since there was almost a steady stream of other people popping in & out to grab the pickup orders they placed earlier, so the kitchen must have been pretty busy already by the time we got there. I'm already planning out the stuff I want to order/try next if I have the time this summer to order from here again, so I'd definitely recommend this place.“
“Food was absolutely amazing, very happily surprised. Service was top notch. Lighting and booths were great, only rating atmosphere at 4 because against all logic, nobody was in there.Lived in Asia for 3 years (Taiwan, and traveled) love food and cooking. Go here.“
