CRISPY! CRISPY! CRISPY!Definitely one of the best (if not the best) places in Richmond for clay pot rice. Crispy rice at the bottom of the pot. The way it should be.The Free Range Chicken with Mushroom was soooo good. It took 20mins for them to make it. But it was well worth the wait.All the items were in English. Unlike some of the other food courts in Richmond, where they’re all in Chinese. Makes ordering so much easier.Will be back to try their other dishes.,
Claypot rice done well is not easy to find. This place makes one of the best I have eaten. The portion is substantial, the flavors are delicious and they have perfected the crispness on the bottom that is delight to find. The rice is not oily, the Napa cabbage is fresh and a side order of yau choi make it a perfect meal. The owners are nice as they remember us from from a previous outing. Claypot booth inside the Empire food court. Parking is available in the lot outside the strip mall. As Herman E. mentioned, this place is a misnomer. There are no snacks here. They have claypots. Lots and lots of tasty claypots. I had the frog one (in Chinese it says "field chicken"). Fairly decent. The dish is on the bland side, but it does come with a dish of soy sauce.
