“I doubt you will find better prepared dishes or a cleaner restaurant in Richmond than this modest cafe, even in a more extravagant establishment The chef (yes, not just a cook) is world renowned and the owners outgoing and friendly.“

“I’ve eaten here a few times. When they first opened to the public I was so happy that Soup Curry had finally arrived to Vancouver. The soup was hot and everything cooked to perfection.
I came here recently greeted with lovely staff but the food just wasn’t quite right. The carrot was hard and soup was lukewarm. Reading the reviews, it looks like I wasn’t alone in this experience. The meat was tender though and I enjoyed the flavour profile. One thing I would ask especially since now fall and winter are arriving is that you serve your soup curry hot 🙏🏼 I hope to return next time seeing this change.“
“UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP/MANAGEMENT, so felt compeled to leave a great review as they kept the name of the previous business.
Ordered the baked seafood on rice as that is my go-to for hk cafes. It is quite well done. Cheesy and delicious creaminess. Fried rice underneath, shrimp and imitation crab and even a mussel, which are rare nowadays. Only thing is they could have added a bit more colour for vegetables, such as peas or beans, but not really complaining!
Cold milk tea for +1$ is also the cheapest around nowadays. Cold milk tea does come sweetened contrary to some other posts.
UPDATE: came back again and ordered deep fried chicken chop with rice. Very rarely do HK places actually do deep fried chicken. Amazingly tasty, tartar sauce underneath. Milk tea still superior.
Overall, very satisfied and will come back to try other menu items. Certainly competitive with all the other HK cafes popping up in food courts recently.“
“Get the Large pho only if you're ready to do business! The broth was legit amazing and way better than all the other local pho joints and came with a decent amount of meat (2x what's shown in my photo - I already started eating before I remembered to take the photo). I'm a big eater and still struggled to eat 2/3 of it. In the end I had 1/3 of the gigantic large size left. The staff are all Vietnamese. The only drawback is that there's only paid street parking in the area.“

“Big way is over rated Big time, and YGF is under rated big time. Skip the ridiculous line up where they keep you standing for seats after you pay for your food at Bigway. It’s almost a scam. Don’t like YGF too much, keep it some what of a secret.“

“2025.08.05 Came here on a mission to find out how good their wonton is. Ordered under noodle soup 1. Wonton & Shui Kau, Combo A Scallion Oil Pork Chop Rice with hot drink, Chinese Broccoli with Garlic Oil.
The pork chop was rather bland, the scallion oil makes it tasty but there was very little of that. The Chinese broccoli with garlic oil was rather mild tasting, having it with oyster sauce would have tasted better. It also was the most expensive dish at CAD 23.50. Ask how much before ordering.
The Wonton & Shui Kau was really good tasting at CAD 14.95, flavorful broth, wonton, Shui Kau, rich in flavor, texture, taste. The dining area were old tables and chairs with air conditioning. Payment is cash or Canadian debit card.“

“3.x Something Rating? That's so misleading! Are you coming for a Michelin star meal (Service and ambiance counts for most of the rating)? Or an amazing Shanghainese Restaurant?
If you're here for authentic food that's actually second to none you've found a Shanghainese gem. Selfishness hopes that you all don't really digest my review. They don't have that many tables and I would like to make sure mine is still available 😜
So, if you like Din Tai Fung (Shanghainese eatery started in Taiwan and the most popular Chinese restaurant chain in the world). This restaurant will put them to shame. It's not even close. Sorry DTF!
I do appreciate the masks! They wear masks when preparing and delivering my food. Their menu is also vastly expanded vs their old main street location. So what I guess what I'm saying is to enjoy their food but don't take my seat 😀“
“- family run business - was highly recommended to this place and only ate there after the 2nd visit as lineup was too long - a food court place with just a few eateries in the Admiralty centre in Richmond - famed for wonton noodle , hainan chicken rice and hk style milk tea and iced lemon tea - there’s also crispy Chinese donut (油炸鬼&牛俐蘇) in the next stall - wonton noodle was crisp, springy and not soft and mushy and good size of wonton wrapped in shrimp and pork ) soup based was commendable - chicken is tender and the portion fairly sized - hainan chicken can be ordered in a set with rice , Chinese green - combination sets range from $11 with a drink - deep fried crisp fish skin is also a must try - was told that family sometime closes for trips - only stall in there with a lineup - very reasonably priced - we bought the deep fried fish skin home for the rest of the family to try and it was still tasty and crisp in the evening“
