“My first time here after hearing wonderful comments about Esquimalt Bake Shop having the best donuts in Victoria. This is so true! They are THE BEST! Not a heavy donut like other places. Very flavourful. You can taste the flavors. Worth the trek!“

“Fern cafe is consistently wonderful at offering the tastiest food and drinks, a fun atmosphere where I feel comfortable taking my kids, and they have the friendliest staff that go above and beyond to make the dinning experience special.Today we had a mix of sides, the fries, Caesar salad and Chickun, with a donut. The salad is always so good, just the perfect amount of dressing and crunchy crotons with lots of cheese on top! The Chickun is outrageously delicious and the fries and donuts are my kids very faves.We are lucky to have such an awesome all vegan cafe so close to home!“

“We came there with a family. And near us was also a family with a child. Unfortunately we didn't make any photos there. We ordered just ice cream. But I need to admit - it was so delicious. Really hand-made ice cream. It was very tasty. It was one of the best ones I tried. And to come here with children - would be a great idea. People there are very kind and positive. Unfortunately, there is not much space to sit and enjoy, but this place is worth coming to and tasting the ice cream ! I recommend it for sure !“

“The macarons here are absolutely HEAVENLY. My favorite is fuzzy peach and watermelon :)). Definitely recommend the only downside is sometimes the filling is in consistent so one will have a really big of filling and an other macaron will not. But who cares they still taste really good!“

“Do NOT trust the fake bad “reviews”!! Crust Bakery is a local gem. Staff are lovely, food is delicious. Savoury pastries can be messy and greasy at times, make sure they are not grilled too long. Had the pistachio ganache tart and was delighted.The entryway was quite crammed with people, difficult to get in and out“

Tastes and ingredients are often in unusual combinations, but they are soooo good! Today was a spicy chorizo sausage pie. Oh my.There are also frozen take home meals when you don't know what's for dinner. We love the vegetarian lasagna and their shepherds pie.The staff are fun and personable and enjoy a bit of banter too.Go there! “We purchased a carrot cake and cupcakes (vegan and regular) from oh la la for my daughter’s baby shower. The carrot cake was absolutely delicious and moist. Not too sweet but sweet enough to make it one of the best carrot cakes I have ever had. Everyone at the shower raved over both the cake and the cupcakes. The vegan cupcakes were gobbled up along with the regular ones. The presentation of the cake and cupcakes were also a five star. Beautiful inside and out! So very happy with my experience at oh la la! Highly recommend!!“

“As someone that can't have dairy I have tried a lot of vegan ice cream, and parachute's is my favorite. The texture is rich and creamy, and the flavors are fun. They sell pints and cones and even by the cone, there is more than one vegan flavour to choose from, which is so appreciated. Highly recommend ?.“

“A Victoria institution, unique and amazing enough that if you’re visiting the island, you should absolutely go out of your way to visit, and walk the North Park area. The exterior and Mason street is packed with awesome graffiti. For ordering: recommend the ham & cheese sandwich which has jaw dropping flavor combinations of sweet, savoury & spicy; the breakfast danish and a finale treat: the blueberry custard tart. ❤️“

“This cafe is close to my job site. They have drip coffee quick and ready. Phil and Sebastian beans (I think) which is great! Bright and calming atmosphere, bigger than most cafes which really improves wheelchair accessibility.Wheelchair accessibility: no stairs, large and spacious. bathroom is a good size :)“

“We could not make up our minds on what to order! So many options. My daughter decided on a chocolate cup cake and I had lemon short bread. The cupcake was perfect but the icing was lack luster. “Sunday pizza day. We ordered a Margherita after waiting about 20 minutes, not too bad. The wait for the pizza was going to be 35 minutes, I thought long considering the pizzas cook in 3 minutes. We ordered some baked goods to hold us over, an apple danish, a pistachio cream doughnut and a pretzel. We felt that the flavours were all there and came through but the pastries and the pretzel were too oily. The pistachio cream was spot on but the dough, oily, yes it is doughnut but I shouldn’t have to wipe my fingers of grease. The pizza…excellent!!!! The dough is not the white flour 00, it is their own blend and we could really taste the flour, it was a nice surprise. The sauce is Bianco Di Napoli tomatoes, the best and delicious, the cheese and basil were top quality. Well worth the wait. 100% if I were in the hood again I would order again.“

“We love this place. We’ve been in Victoria for 4 months and we consider ourselves to be cafe aficionados! We’ve been drinking coffee at every establishment that looks worthy!Demitasse does it right. Firstly the coffee is consistently perfect. The staff know what we want before we even order. The selection and quality of food is top notch. The limited indoor seating is perfect - encourages you to stand, move around and even talk to people! Good grief!No one sitting around in here with ear buds and a laptop open in front of them - this is a functional, old fashioned cafe - people actually interact!
