“This is an absolute must go if you are in the area. The food is delicious, coffee sublime and the atmosphere, incredible. I cannot say enough great things about the enthusiasm of the staff. Despite how busy this place is the staff are always upbeat, friendly and witty. They definitely keep customers laughing and entertained while waiting in line. If anyone has experienced a bad time here (like what?) I can definitely say it is not the fault of Shirley Delicious but your own grouchy attitude. This is Island time. Enjoy! Also follow them on Instagram. They are so good at updating their hours, you cannot always rely on Google. See you in July Shirley D!”

Bad Dog Brewing Company 7861 Tugwell Rd, Sooke Brewery • $$

“A nice little brewery just outside of the small city of Sooke. We got to try out some craft beers here, plus get a free tour behind the Bad Dog brewing station with an employee explaining their process. It was satisfying for the drinks, and educational at the same time! My favourite was the Peel, and my least favourite was the Kona because that was the strongest and most bitter ...The place wasn't busy when we visited, with ample indoor and outdoor seating. There's also a cart selling food outside, and washrooms. Being surrounded by greenery and nature was nice too. It's worth driving up here if you're looking for good craft beer in Sooke! ?”
