Was brought to The Surly Mermaid by some friends who have visited many times. The menu was extensive with lots of interesting options. All four of us got different items and we were all pleased with our choices.Great place to hang out, but I certainly recommend a reservation as we went there on a Thursday evening and had to wait almost 45 minutes.
Fish and chips were good but the bartender waited on us for 75%of the time, (he was totally awesome - girlfriend name a mocktail for him) . Only saw our waiter at the beginning to take our order at the table and I had to intercept her to ask for the bill...

Staff and atmosphere were pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood chowder and crispy chicken sandwich with fries. We would come again
