“We've been coming to this IHOP for years now. We used to come with our mom and since she passed away it's a place for my sister and I to go for good memories. The ladies have always been wonderful and make our visit fun. We've never gone to another restaurant that has made us feel this way! “I went to the Coquitlam Grill as a last-minute dinner idea since I was already in that area and was glad that I went there. When I arrived, I received a table right away, with the choice of a booth seating or one at the bar. I also saw seating that had small television monitors right up close for you to watch. I took a moment to look at their menu and carefully thought about what I wanted. Even though they serve breakfast all day, I ordered the Oceanic Platter. It came with calamari, a piece of breaded cod, panko shrimps, side of rice, a cup of coleslaw and a trio of dipping sauces that are tartar, tzatziki and chili. The calamari were crispy and well-seasoned to my liking on its own. The cod and shrimp were excellent and had no complaints about them whatsoever. The sauces were exuberant, and I found myself using them with every different seafood that was on my platter. The rice was also great, and I liked the fact that it had green onions on it. The restaurant has this antiquated aesthetic to it with the mild lighting and the bar-like interior design to it, yet a little sophisticated. The staff were very courteous and mindful of my needs. The service was very fast as well when they brought my food out right away. I hope to come back to the Coquitlam Grill very soon. I highly recommend anyone to pay their patronage to this restaurant, whether you in this city or are coming by there.“

“The food was very good here. I ordered the crepes with strawberries, and I’m honestly not too sure how to rate them. Usually when I've ordered crepes, they come with a filling or sauce or something... so getting just plain crepes with strawberries on top was unexpected. They were still light and nice, and the strawberries were fresh and crisp. It wasn’t a bad breakfast at all, and it was exactly what the menu said it would be, so overall it was okay.

Their buttermilk biscuit, though? SO much flavor. I loved it, and I would definitely go back just for that. They served the hot chocolate in a huge cup, which made the price feel worth it. The strawberry lemonade was very sweet but still flavorful. The French toast was nice, and the hashbrowns were great. Crispy on the outside, soft inside.

There was plenty of space to sit inside, and the booths were comfortable. They have a QR code you can scan on your table to pay online which was cool. We were served quickly, and the customer service was very nice. I actually left my biscuit on the table by accident, and when I went back five minutes later, they had already cleaned the table... but they kept my biscuit off to the side in case I returned. I was so happy about that!

This place is located near a mall, so there’s lots of parking available. I’d definitely go back.“
