Bon Ton Pastry & Confectionery is a beloved destination for sweet treats. Their pastries and baked goods are consistently delicious, with standouts like the diplomat cake and Christmas Yule log. The petit fours cookies are also a hit. Although they are temporarily closed, fans are eagerly awaiting their reopening at a new location on Alma. The new space features bright, modern decor mixed with nostalgic wall hangings, but it is smaller than the previous location, with a pared-down selection of baked goods and pastries.

The iconic Diplomat Cake remains available, known for its flaky pastry, rum-infused sponge cake, smooth buttercream, and powdered sugar finish. Many customers have enjoyed this cake for over 50 years, often choosing it as their birthday cake, and it continues to delight new visitors. The display cases are filled with beautiful cakes and pastries that look delicious and are well-decorated. Customers have described the baked goods as soft, fresh, and delightful to eat.

However, some recent feedback notes that prices have increased significantly. There have been concerns about presentation and custard quantity in some éclairs, and the Pain de Mecque is no longer on display, requiring preordering. Some customers feel that the offerings are fewer and that the atmosphere has become more sterile compared to before, with a sense of diminished quality, especially regarding certain Philippine Pastries that did not meet expectations.
