Pho Goodness (Main & 15th) is a favourite pho restaurant on Main Street, serving a variety of Vietnamese dishes. The broth is incredibly flavourful, and the noodles are cooked just right. Menu highlights include shrimp salad rolls, veggie pho with tofu, lychee smoothie, lemongrass chicken vermicelli, and dish number 20—a rich soup of bones, meat, tripe, and noodles. The chicken wings have an incredibly crispy batter with perfect umami salt and pepper seasoning. Everything is fresh and flavourful, served fast with kind service. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, feeling just like home. Virtually any choice is a good one, with no misses on banh mi, noodle, or rice dishes. Above average flavour and ingredients, with a price slightly lower than other pho shops in the area. The restaurant is a good place for some Vietnamese cuisine, easily in the conversation for top three in the city for quality/price ratio. A solid 4-star rating, though the 4.3 average is considered too low. One big flaw is not enough staff, causing waits of more than five minutes for water when busy. The staff are really the best, and a little smile is the best way to make a customer happy.
