Honestly one of my favourite pho restaurants in vancouver, I absolutely love their spring rolls and I find that the quality of their food is not bad. Would come back again for comfort food.

This is a basic Vietnamese restaurant, the food is good, and the service is average. The select big quantity of vegetables in the dining area, which is supposed to happen in the kitchen. Because of that, I give it a 4 star.

As a Vietnamese person, my viet parents have said that the pho here is mediocre. When I went here with my little brother, we ordered a large pho and Vietnamese coffee, the service wasn’t the best and the pho was okay. What made me not ever come back here was the service though, I remember the server giving the vibe of not liking me and my brother when we asked her for a smaller bowl to share the pho, and giving us the stink eye when we left. My brother was in elementary school and he even noticed, as when we left, he said “it seems like they didn’t like us.” This was my experience 7 years ago, it was my first and last time ever eating here.

Shrinkflation is happening here too. They cut out the simple things like lettuce in the dry noodle bowl. Made it quite unappealing.

This is for the First Avenue Market near Renfrew St. Lots of parking in the T & T parking lot. They have the biggest salad rolls for a very good price. Their Pho bowls are good size too. The only regret is that they do not make roll dip the crispy pork and vermicelli needs filled rolls. They make the egg roll type not the ones I like. We order the the salad rolls here for pickup and the rest somewhere else. Their peanut salad is nicely thick so it does not drip off so much.

This is my first dine-in experience at the Thai Son on 1st Avenue. I usually go to the Broadway Street location. The food and the service in this location is excellent. The food quality and quantity seems identical to the Broadway Street location. If you've never eaten vietnamese food at Thai Son, I highly recommend it. Thai Son offers done unique dry noodle dishes which is not usually found at other pho places.Highly recommended.

Best pho in town. Broth is pure goodness. Plenty of meat and noodles. Go on Tuesday and get 10% off.

I hate to give 1* review for restaurants, but this place doesn’t deserve any more than that. Usually I don’t like to support ‘cash only’ restaurants, just happened to be lunch time and we had Pho in this place. Service was indifferent, really didn’t cared. No lime for the Pho, had to ask for it and received a bit of a lemon (vegetable market is right next door). The Pho was tasteless, boring, made with tough, cheap (possibly) old slices of shank meat. Totally uninspiring underwhelming and absolutely terrible lunch experience. Too much to ask to care just a bit and to try to smile at your paying customers? Avoid at all cost !
