Thai son has been a staple Vietnamese restaurant for the area. You may see staff peeling garlic from time to time to help their kitchen, but service is alright. The food is decent, and some of the dishes are priced fine.

Gosh darn it it’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been here. The auntie still remembers me! Also, if it’s “cash only” then you know this is an OG Pho joint. No nonsense decor and service. It’s mom and pop before it was a thing. Several other locations in Vancouver as well. Here’s a tip, you won’t find bigger chunks of tendon than this place.
