“I was in Victoria for work and was looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant that was open a bit later - and glad I stumbled upon UKatsu!

The food was amazing and made to order!! The service was so amazing, I told them that I loved the soup and they gave me an extra bowl since I was raving about it. I also thought the price was very reasonable.

“This little family run diner is always a reliable stop for lunch or breakfast. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve been going here for years. It’s my go-to if I’m in the area and need a good lunch. My favourite is the prawn Wor Wanton soup, but everything I’ve had is good. Highly recommended.“

“My daughter, her boyfriend, and I enjoyed the eggs-Benny, pancakes, and traditional breakfast. We were seated in a cozy outdoor heated patio. The server was very hospitable and quick. The place compares well with other breakfast diners in the area, such as Floyd's.“

“We just had lunch legendary burger and fish and chips at the White spot which we have missed so much. The waitress "Jade" was so amazing, fun, respectful, efficient, just plain happy which certainly cheered us too. Food was excellent and what big pieces of cod too. Thank you, we will be back“

“A taste of home when visiting from Alberta! White Spot always beats out BP for family meals in a kid friendly place. This one is designed nice with kind staff. Food was just as to be expected, nothing “wow” but homey and comforting.

Kid-friendliness: Staff were so kind to say “do you want the second part” hinting at ice cream without actually saying it. Made saying no without whiney kids so much easier! Nice touch.“

“My friends and I spent Halloween night eating here, and it was the best experience ever. I didn’t catch our servers name, but the girl who served the last table on Halloween was amazing! Service was fantastic, food and drinks were delicious, and her attitude was wonderful. This location will definitely become a group favourite.“
