“My family LOVES Fern. They’re so consistent and kind, my husband loves the cinnamon buns so much that we got a giant one as his cake. Need a birthday cake? You can count on Fern to come through with a giant donut. My kiddo refuses to eat a croissant with honey mustard now because of how delicious it is a Fern. Appreciate you and your team so much! Plus the vibes are 10/10“

I had the Tempeh Reuben (a signature sandwich) which has better “taste bud stimulation” than the cornbeef or turkey (non vegan) Reuben! The peanut/yam soup was delicious as well! Clearly, quality food!!!“

“Super delicious vegan restaurant with lots of different options! I got way too much food and everything was delicious. The poutine was probably my favorite vegan poutine I've had! I really enjoyed the tacos as well - I find a lot of vegan taco 'meat' ends up being overly salty but that was not the case here! I don't live in Canada but if I did I would definitely eat here all the time :) it was fast, convenient and tasty! I also found the prices to be extremely reasonable coming from the states, it seems in general vegan food is cheaper in Canada, so jealous!“

“This is our must go to restaurant when we visit Victoria via boat for 30 years. First-year there I ordered the BlackBerry halibut and every year since then I order it and it's still my favorite cooked perfect, it's hard to make halibut moist like butter. My husband loves the olive tapenade they serve with their focaccia bread and will get an extra bowl to pour on his pasta. Best cheese cake too. Great culture, attention to detail, they even use copper water pitchers, the water is great.“

Victoria is lucky to have KAPPO Marta around. Service was first-class from the moment we walked in. Shrimp Gyoza was light yet incredibly moist inside - a delicate balance done just right. The Oyako Don was done to perfection, with delicious pickled garnishes. Chirashi Don was exactly what I was hoping for, and though squid may not be my favorite, every fish in the bowl was unique and tasty. Visually stunning, by the way.

To be honest, one of my now favorite spots in all of Victoria. Definitely coming back - thank you for a great meal!“

“So, this was a take a picture before I ate fail; I even forgot to take a picture of my empty tray. But thankfully, there were some very kind people at Wheelies who allowed me to take a shot of another sandwich before it went out to the customer who ordered it.

I had their special and it was delicious. A masterfully creative play on a Big Mac (my inference - apologies if I got that wrong). It was supremely satisfying and a flavour explosion. So many things on their menu look absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and work my way through it, and also their cocktails menu.

I'm gonna give a special mention to Working Culture who pointed me in the direction of Wheelies. They were on my to patronise list for today as I continued my search for amazing sandwiches, but alas, they were out. I'll pre-order next time.

The food isn't super quick to the table, but hey, this is fresh cooked and it's not simple white spot food. So relax and enjoy the experience. Pretend you are in Thailand.“

“Went in for dinner on a recommendation from a friend. OH MY. We went in thinking it would just be another dinner spot - we were so wrong. From when you first enter & you smell the fresh herbs to when you sit down around the table on super comfortable chairs/couches. WOW. The staff were attentive, personal and yet not in your zone too much. Helpful with advice on the food and menu. 10/10. The food was on another planet. We had three dishes in total - one appy and two mains. Cooked perfectly, extremely fresh flavours and large portions. The naan bread… just wow. Delish! Will be coming back and telling everyone about this. They deserve a line out the door.“

“This has been one of the best Greek restaurants we’ve ever been to. From the food to the service it was amazing and done right! Would 100% recommend! Of course the biscuits were exceptional and perfectly cut and toasted. I had the egg and bacon Sammy and added tomatoes and avocado. Perfect!!! Group of 6 all raved! A diverse, spread on a theme, and I'm not a gravy fan and it too was delicious. The special steak had homemade dips and stuff, and the vege was it was incredibly complex and yummy looking. I WILL BE BACK!!! The baked goods looked fantastic, but I'm so full!“

Congee was amazing! Not what you’d expect from a Chinese congee and in the best way. Americano was super smooth without the over-roasted bitterness of some better known coffee brands. I was on the island for a visit and will be back at my next opportunity.“

You are welcomed and served in a really friendly manner, the food is delicious, and per the photo the chai tea is not just a tea bag in a cup but an authentic chai they make in-house. Yum! Tibetan Kitchen is a great place for a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable lunch or dinner.“

Adding some background music, or turning up the volume if it was already playing, would also help create a warmer atmosphere. Overall happy with our experience.“
