“I was pleased with my visit to Thaigo in the Park Royal shopping center. I ordered tom yam, it was light, not spicy, lots of vegetables and shrimp. I needed a little heat and some coconut milk or cream. But overall the soup was good.

I also liked that this place has an open kitchen and it doesn’t look like fast food at all. The soup was prepared right in front of me. The kitchen is clean and the cook seemed very neat.“

“Great pizza with some unique topping/flavor combinations. Their pizza by the slice are cut into sixth so they're larger than some other places. Staff are super friendly and I was greeted with a smile each time I was there. Prices are reasonable and they have deals online/in store. Takeout is the way to go as the place is tiny with only a few seats and a counter inside. The place can be hard to find as it's sandwiched between a Starbucks and Subway. There's around 10 parking spots out front.“

“I don't get fried chicken often, but when I do, it's usually Korean fried chicken. Since I haven't tried many other places, I always end up getting Chicko Chicken. I've been getting their cheese snow and yangyeom flavours and it seems like they have expanded their flavor options since I last visited. My only objection is that their prices aren't great. They also used to provide pickled radish with their orders but don't anymore. When I visited this location, it was completely empty with one other customer coming in for a pickup order. The store had standard furnishing but seemed a bit dim/dull. We were able to get our chicken in 15 minutes and it's nice knowing that it's fried to order. I will definitely be going back to try their other flavours.“

“When you want to get a refill or pay, just walk up to the staff because staffs rarely check on the customers after they placed their orders. Clean restrooms. Neat menu design. Great atmosphere. So many flavors to choose from! My favorite flavor is the Italian Roasted Red Pepper! Don't expect it to be spicy, but it smells good!
Don't try Bobby wings without preparing medication like TUMS (advice from a Thai).“

“The staff and service were excellent! This is my favourite neighbourhood spot in Kits. Their Family Set for two is my families go-to order. It has a bit of everything!

I also highly suggest their Crab Spring Rolls, and Beef Rib Pho!!“

“After trying most of the pizza joints in the West End, I have to say this branch is sitting happily at the top for us. The toppings are great quality and quantity, and the pizza isn't dripping in grease to the point that the box is soggy like some other places. I always judge my pizza based off of how it tastes cold the next day, and these ones are an A+ leftover pizza as well.“

Vegetarian options: There is always something else to order that is non meat options and extra veggie and my son appreciates the less sauce option as an autistic person who has a senaitive pallet.

Kid-friendliness: my son was tired from swimming one day, and accidentally fell asleep on their couch and our order wasnt quite ready yet. The staff said quietly we were welcome to stay and wait for our order and let him nap.“

“We read about Forage in line and decided to try it. What a great decision! The food was excellent. As the idea is sharing plates we selected a number of small plates. We had the fish dip, with lovely homemade tortillas which were delicious. We had a spring salad, the zucchini salad, bison carpaccio, and smoked salmon- everything was great. Washed down with a nice Shiraz - what more could you want? Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend you to try.“

The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the sauce had just the right tang, and the toppings were fresh and generous. You can really taste the quality in every bite. “I came here for lunch today and ordered the Tuna Tataki salad with chicken donburi 2 item combo. There are a lot of tuna chunks in my salid, well worth the additional $2. The chicken donburi is on the salty side and there were some chicken cartilage and tough onion skins in the bowl that shouldn’t have been in the bowl. I’d suggest Mainichi to provide miso soup with their combo. They don’t cost much and add to perceived value of the meal. Overall a very good new Japanese style Korean restaurant.“

“A little cramped, a little dingy, a little disorganized, this restaurant will win you over not with looks but with comfort food, refreshing soda, and a kind soul.

The curry chicken is presented like an omurice with several fat chunks of chicken around it. The chicken was pleasantly soft and chewy, and went well with the curry sauce. The rice was a bit hard, but no points lost for that. I could eat it just fine with the thinly spread egg. The star of the show was actually the berry soda! Sweet but with the right amount of tanginess, and with some berry pulp at the bottom to top it off!

There was enough soda in one cup to last me two meals. It’s enough of a selling point for me to return. I usually don’t drink soda, but damn, you got to me. Thank you!“

But then they gave us a free pizza because they said that they had forgotten one part of the pizza we had ordered and had to remake it. Food was good (value - medium, more below).
Seating was basic but adequate.
The dudes behind the counter were amazing! (Free drink at lunch, added bonus).

Order:
Chicken shawarma platter (spicy with extra turnips).
I think my whiteness scared them cause it was mild at best.
Chicken was juicy and flavorful, potatoes were surprisingly good - excellent seasoning, salad was ok, no tabouli. Pita was dried out, didn't dig it. Chips were good.

Value.
If you're even slightly hungry, you need to order the platter which will set you back $20 (seems to be average here as even food trucks are $15).

If you're from Toronto, this is a *slightly* elevated Alibabas or Pita Grill but the prices is DOUBLE either of those with less food - but better salad. (Although their takeout bags looked 5*).

Would I eat here again - no.
Woukd I recommend it - likely. The experience, the friendliness, worth the stop.“
