Cold Stone Creamery in Alameda is a great choice when craving something sweet. The ice cream is rich and creamy, and made fresh in store. The staff was friendly and the whole experience was great. It is a brand new shop in Alameda's Southshore Center. It was busy, but staff were fun to watch. Nobody else mixes ice cream and toppings on frozen granite slabs. Super good blended ice cream. It is clean and new in a slower part of the Alameda plaza, so it is a nice little stroll towards this location. The guys in the store was friendly and had good service. They were new to the store too so can tell they were also figuring things out so it was a little slower service compared to the other established one. But all in all one would go back, for usuals and when they have their seasonal flavors. The churro and honeycomb cornbread with berry jam was tried, and to surprise, honey comb cornbread was chosen and added a mix of the sweetcream ice cream, topped with Graham pie crust, white cake and KitKat. It does take 3~4 prior notice to make a customed ice cream cake. However, the taste seemed different. Sweet cream was sweeter and cloying now. Pineapple was not smashed. Pecans tasted a little stale. The workers were nice though. Twice ordered online and is ironic the order has been completely what was not ordered. Product is good and always tip.
