“Stopped by midweek and this place did not disappoint. Easy ordering via phone, prompt service, and delicious food. We got the Blue Heat 50/50 style and the Ramen 50/50 plus a strawberry boba. Both hot dogs were perfect with the right amount of cheese pull and loaded with flavor. We also got the Sriracha mayo which I highly recommend. Boba with fantastic; not too sweet with good flavor and the right amount of chew texture.“
“I was up on Telegraph with Paeekaa Haackootkoo lookin for his son in law because he forgot to take his medication. I wouldn't normally go to this extreme but the dudes an albino and if he doesn't medicate each day he'll turn just as pink as Pepto Bismol from the sun. Ohh... a Casper's ...I think I'll go on and get a couple of chili dogs, all this walking around made me hungry, and Casper's puts out the best dogs in the world! The last time this little pipsqueek forgot his meds he was in Tijuana and when he turned Pepto Bismol pink the Mexican police jailed him because they thought he was from outer space, they even called NASA to come get him. “My son and I came here two times during our visit to catch some baseball in San Fran and Oakland. Don't let the area distract you. It is heavy industrial and is fairly safe and the food here is exceptional and some of the best tacos I have ever had. For 10 to 12 bucks a person you walk out of here very full and can't complain a bit.“
“Got there at 9:30 am to try their breakfast burritos, which I thought are clever by having a over easy egg instead of scrambled inside. The place was clean, and the service was friendly. I had no idea what I wanted but settled for the Little Mule Burrito. It should have dawned on me while speaking Spanish to the cashier, he told me it was a very good burrito. While it looked and tasted great, the heat was insane that early in the morning. Not only do you have pickled jalapenos, but you also have a Chipotle aioli that is sure to burn your esophagus. “Omgoodness I have been coming to Oakland for 17 years every other weekend and have been wanting to try this place out. So good well well worth your money. I got my husband and I both single cheeseburgers my husband had the works on his just the lettuce tomato onion He's very picky he bit into his hamburger and said now this is a burger. 30 minutes after we tried our burgers we sent our friends over there. And they said how come we've never stopped here before. This is a must have burger. It's not no frozen patties either this was a great big burger“
“Very okay food in a nice setting. Bun was better than fast food but could be more billowy or chewy. Patties were a bit overdone. Seasoning and sauce was lacking. Lettuce was not crisp or fresh. Fries were solid but I prefer a heavier fry on them. Didn’t try it today, but cool to see they have vegan shakes!Cute spot with partial indoor and outdoor tables by a sizable lawn. Awesome place to stop by and grab quick bite and hang for a bit. This is my first time here. “We stopped by Gilman's after a hike and we got Dog's for lunch. That chili cheese dog hit like no other - honest to god one of the best chili cheese dog's I've had in my life. Menu was great and food came out by the time I grabbed my beer. If you're craving a chili cheese dog, literally look no further - sometimes I dream about it, and my consumption of hot dogs has increased over the past year because of this food truck.“

“I don't agree with the other review. I think it's more likely some of the customers are rude rather than the people taking time out of their day to prepare snacks and meals for people. I like the vegan dogs and onions. I like to read the political stuff on the walls. I pile my vegan dog with diced onions and ketchup. I'm kind of afraid of mustard. I don't know why people want to fill up their body with the innards of other animals.Animal cells start to decay inside people when they eat them over time there is decayed cells inside your bowels. The vegan dog is tasty it doesn't seem the same as a juicy New Yorker or Kielbasa though. Impossible Sausage gets more plump and juicy and I like the vegan casing. Remember you are basically eating the intestinal lining of animals that only grazing on some plant. I think the vegan dogs should be cheaper to see what happens to customer preferences. I think Top Dog should go all vegan. There is hypocrisy in the progressive values of the owners and workers. The workers in the meat industry are being exploited. I should write a letter to the business. Because I have enjoyed going to Top Dog for a long time. Don't change anything else but provide plant based food because eating animals is abuse not food and not healthy. There are other vegan dogs out there that Top Dog should sell. I can't afford the other eating options and I can't afford to cook my own vegan dogs rights.“
“This is a small hot dog shop in which the people who work there are elderly and wonderful! Sometimes you do have to wait a little to get your dogs but they are worth it! Plus the ladies are very pleasant. It's as if your grandma is serving you the food. :)“
“I must confess, this place has become quite an addiction for me! The donuts here have a unique texture that's somewhat chewier than your typical donut, yet in the most delightful way. They offer an impressive variety, and it's exciting to see their menu evolve with new additions frequently. Every visit brings the anticipation of trying something novel, and so far, I've never been let down. We often indulge in a mixed selection of six to enjoy at home. The only slight drawback? The prices are a tad high. While this hasn't deterred us from returning, it does mean we can't visit as often as we'd like. Despite that, it's a solid four stars from me!“
“Great longtime, family-owned dog spot on Park Street. They’ve used the same Miller sausages that many Bay Area places have including the Coliseum. I usually opt for the Coney style chili dogs and they never let me down. Location is great with a corner spot on Park and that makes parking spotty at peak times but it’s worth it. Support local people.“
