“The Thursday - Sunday late evening/overnight staff is amazing! I've been coming here pretty much weekly since July 2021 and they have become like family, especially our regular server Lupe. The night manager is cool and when he gets on the stove his food is out of this world! They got a new cook a few months ago and they are great with consistently producing comfort, especially the fries (and I'm VERY picky about my fry consistency).“

“OMG I could not eat another bite... Shrimp Bay omelette.... awesome! Companion ordered Popeye special . Double awesome. My English muffin was toasted perfectly and hash browns also came out great . Did not know they were shakes there until we looked under desserts , voila there they were. Never going to a fast food for shakes again while Bun n Burger is open. Real ice cream homemade shakes $4 much larger than any you can get had to drive thru. My only complaint is that they close at 3:00 and aren't open 24/7 . Of course then I would be a much heavier person, so it's better the way it is . Can't wait to go back and try different meals!!

Parking: There's a small lot behind the restaurant . There's street parking but when it's crowded you have to park a little ways away . Worth it though .“

“This morning I had an amazing waitress, her name is Michelle. She was pretty busy but she did a wonderful job giving good service and seemed positive instead of being stressed. “Easily one of the best diners in Eagle Rock. That is saying something because there are over five well-known ones that I can think of and I’m sure there are a few more that I can’t. Every time I stop in it’s always very busy, but the wait is never that long. We were able to be seated immediately when we arrived for our 10 AM Sunday brunch. They have a lot of seating indoors as well as out, but I always prefer to sit inside to really soak up the diner atmosphere. This is an Asian-influenced diner that has a lot of Asian flavors on the menu as well as a mostly Asian staff. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot, but parking is very easy to find in this part of town. Our server was very polite and everything we ordered came out extremely fast.

I wanted to mix up my usual order so for my last visit so I chose the Hamburger Steak and Eggs. It’s basically a large hamburger patty but cooked just like a steak and honestly, it was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the side of hashbrowns was as good as I hoped. The portion sizes are large and the prices are fair so it really is a great breakfast or lunch option. I would recommend to any diner fan or anyone searching for a great breakfast option in Eagle Rock.

Favorite is Blue Chip Combo meal. Love the crew here. Always accommodating and patient with us. Makes our day happy and food is consistent. Burgers and breakfast delicious too.

Parking: Always busy but never disappointed with our food. Best to call in your orders ahead so they are ready by the time you get to intercom. Just tell them your name and your picking up your orders. Love the fried Zucchini and fries too.

“Well known as the diner where Reservoir Dogs was filmed this place has been on my list to try for quite some time. I stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was very impressed. I love a great diner so have been wanting to stop here for a long time and can confirm the food and the service is worth the visit. The food quality is honestly great and I would go here for the biscuits alone. They are some of the largest, most fluffy, and delicious biscuits I’ve ever had in LA. They have a large parking lot with free parking and service was very fast and friendly. It is slightly pricier than some other diners, but not by much and still worth the cost.

For my first time I ordered my favorite breakfast dish which is Eggs Benedict, and thought it was great. The hollandaise was homemade, the eggs were perfectly runny, and it just had some great flavors. As mentioned, I ordered a side Biscuit with gravy and the thing was absolutely huge. Not only was it giant, but it was also very fluffy and delicious and honestly was probably the best biscuit I have had this entire year.

P&L’s is a fantastic retro diner and a part of LA history. I would recommend to anyone searching for a great breakfast or lunch option, or any diner fan.

“I went to Xiaomei this morning to buy a takeout with three dishes and one soup, and then went to the nearby Great China Supermarket to buy some vegetables. I took out Xiaomei and retrieved my eight yuan and seventy cents, wrapped in Xiaomei. In my receipt, the lady at the Greater China counter refused to accept one of the $5 bills, saying it was a counterfeit bill. If it were normal, forget it, it would be a trivial matter. But then I thought again, I have been swallowing my anger all my life, and I am brave this time. I am not deceiving or intentionally blackmailing Xiaomei. As a result, the money was returned, but the words spoken to each other were not very kind. I went home and reflected on my words and deeds.
