“Went here after a Dodgers game and it is such a cool bar. Security were friendly, the bartender Julian was great to talk too, and of course the cocktails were fantastic! I couldn’t believe they had a “Vesper”, as a massive Bond fan I had to have it and it was amazing. Followed with the old faithful Espresso Martini which was great too. Drinks are reasonably priced. Can’t wait to come back here the next time I’m in LA!“

“Concept and experience are what they offer. Probably one of the coolest bar entry I’ve had. The cocktails, tho, are on the bland side, wouldn’t say they taste bad, but definitely can’t say they are worth the price. Would only come back if I want to impress friends visiting in town.“

“My friend and I had an exquisite dining experience at Bar Sawa. Each course was prepared and presented to perfection. The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! The instructions to get to the restaurant were emailed, but I didn't get to read it in time, so it was my fault. ? We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, ambiance and the entire experience. “Food, wine, service and vibes were exceptional! We made resys for a wine night and the outdoor seating was cozy, with a heated lamp keeping us warm. Our server was sweet and helped us sample some wines - we chose an orange wine and sparkling wine which both paired perfectly with the food.

For food, highly rec the mentaiko spaghetti, fries with yuzu aoili, chicken wings, and citrus salad! Dessert is a must - loveee the hojicha tres leches and black sesame rice krispy.

Portions are small, but perf for sharing with friends and wine selection is lovely.“

“I was a doorman to one of the Main Street bars, and customers would always tell me to go checkout Jay Dee's. So I finally did after 2 years. It's a cool place to hang out and have a drink. Drinks are reasonable, and it's a cash only bar. Customers are friendly too, & no haters. Has pool tables and darts. No, dj, but they have a jukebox playing cool music. Bartenders are friendly and treat everyone like family. I would go back 😊👍🍻🥂“

I asked for an Old Fashion and the bartender jumped right to it. The inside has a very cool vibe. There is a pool table and also a stage. The bar also has a Jukebox that plays awesome music. The bar offers outdoor seating in the front and private area in the back. Definitely recommend stopping by you will not be disappointed.“

The workers are nice and the drinks are made strong and cold the way they should be. It’s a chill vibe. They don’t do stuff like karaoke, so if you want a party kinda place this wouldn’t be ideal, but if you enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, then it’s perfect.“

My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“

Had a "Beez Neez" which was a nice strong and fancy gin and juice. Had the truffle fries with it because the one drink was kicking in so I had to balance it. Will definitely be back again.“

“I visited this place to celebrate my birthday and ordered a Manhattan, which was delicious. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, although it was a bit small and crowded. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people there on a Wednesday, and it turned out to be someone else's birthday too. There were a couple of bouncers at the entrance, and they let me in for free since it was my birthday, but the door fee was $20, which seemed a bit steep considering they didn't even open up the other section of the venue. After finishing my drink, I decided to leave because it was too crowded and the smell of people's body odor was overwhelming.“

“We drive 35 miles at least three times a month to eat here. We love Home State and as a Native Texan, I can attest that their queso is the real deal!!! I just wish they'd open one in Claremont, CA!!! The Don't Mess With Texas is my favorite taco and my husband loves the brisket taco. Everything is amazing though!!!“
