The shrimp and grits were very filling and it was a good portion. The shrimp was very flavorful, as was the greens and grits.
When I'm craving some Southern comfort when visiting Disneyland, I'll head over to Tiana's for some hearty grub. I've had a chance to dine here a few times, and it's always been satisfying.
The Cajun/Creole food offerings remind me of New Orleans. I've enjoyed the House Gumbo, which has a bold flavor and chunky ingredients. Enough to fill you up, yet it won't put you in a coma. Tiana's Palace is a restaurant where guests have had varying experiences. Some people had issues with their food being cold, such as the sweet heart beignet chicken sandwich and beignets. The gumbo was also a problem for some, as it was too spicy and not filled to the top of the bowl. However, others enjoyed their meals, including the vegan gumbo, shrimp po boy, and jambalaya. The 7 greens veggie gumbo and shrimp and grits were also praised for being tasty. The mac and cheese was a favorite for some, but a disappointment for others. The restaurant itself is cute, but seating can be a problem as it gets packed. The cast members are excellent and helpful, especially for guests with dietary restrictions. Mobile ordering is also available, making it easier to plan lunch. Overall, Tiana's Palace has its ups and downs, but the staff's love for their jobs is noticeable.
